Have the terrible twos started for anyone else?

It seems my baby girl is getting very headstrong and does things she knows she shouldn't, like biting mommy on the leg.

My son will throw fits too sometimes when he is told "no". I just ignore him and he gets over it very fast. When he calms down I hold him and talk to him.

Oh, yes! I think they figure out that they have a will and a voice of their own long before they are two. My son's worst was letting out ear-piercing shrieks whenever he didn't get what he wanted. He seems to be outgrowing that, but now he's throwing EVERYTHING whenever he gets frustrated.

Yes my daughter likes to bite and has become incredibly headstrong recently. She has also started to crumple on the floor if she doesnt get her way but she is quick to recover thankfully because I've learned to ignore her when she does it. It really makes a big difference.

Oh, yes, I knew it had started for us when Holly looked around on the ground before she laid down to throw a fit.

My son started pushing my buttons about 13 months, he smacks me if I take something off him and also sceams high pitch. I try to ignore it but after 20 times a day of this it gets very tiring. I keep him occupied as much as possible and I find that if I take him outside and let him run around, it calms him down. It breaks my heart when he smacks and screams at me but I just keep the thought that he will grow out of it soon. Keep your chin up girls, it will pass eventually. But never soon enough.

The terrible twos started at about 13 months for my son! Lol! Apparently it means the second year of your child's life, not the ACTUAL age!

My daughter throws tantrums as well now. She throws herself onto the floor when she doesn't get her way. And she's been getting into things she is not allowed to touch and when we take it away she screams the loudest and highest pitch she can. I just let her scream. A new thing is she doesn't like sharing food, today I let another little boy have some dry cereal and she screamed, said no and grabbed the bag from me, and then proceeded to try and take the food away from him. Another thing she's been doing is throwing tantrums in public, especially when it's time to leave and she doesn't want to go!! I agree with everyone else in the just ignore it and they will stop quicker then if you give into the tantrums.

My son has started into the terrible twos with a vengence, he throws things, bites me and his siblings, bangs his head on the floor and he has even started telling on people! On the plus side though when he is in a good mood he can be an angel, he will help clean up his toys, sit and cuddle and he even likes to feed the dog!

I feel your pain...it happened to both me and my hubby on separate occations the other day.  My son's a mild tempered boy but as of late, he's very head strong too.  Sometimes I really have to try not to laugh cuz it 's kinda funny to see him get so mad.

My daughter has started to push to see what she can get away with. If she knows she isn't supposed to touch something and we tell her no, she will look right at us when she touches it repeatedly! She also will stick her fingers down her throat and gag herself when she doesn't get what she wants. That is a new one for me seeing as my 5year old never tried that one. My 07 is very headstrong and stubborn and won't do anything she doesn't want to. Hopefully if the terrible 2's have started early, they will end early too!

My son started the terrible two's fits at 6 months old!! When he gets told NO he throws his fists in his mouth & bites himself, then he throws himself on the floor when my husband & I ignore the fit. I am having a horrible time lately, I suffer from cronic migraines due to a brain tumor & our son is quite a handful! When does it get better or is there anything I can do to minimize the wrong doing/fit throwing??

oh yeah! My daughters thing is throwing hissy fits when we take something away that she KNOWS she shouldn't have. But her retaliation is to hit things, not so much people, but objects, usually things sitting on the coffee table. Then she gets in more trouble for that cause she hits them onto the floor. I don't know where it came from... I'm so excited for it to get worse!!

Yep. My daughter threw herself on the floor yesterday because I said no. I had the thought "here come the terrible twos". :)

She was already very persistent. I am sure it will just get worse from here. :)

My son is also starting.  He gets really mad and makes gremlin like noises and then throws himself on the floor.  About 5 seconds of that and then he'll want me to pick him up and he'll cry. He gets over his fits pretty quickly though. I just ignore it.

Yes, my son started about a month ago. He throws himself on the ground if he doesnt get what he wants sometimes, however, I just walk away and he usually comes around. He did bite awhile ago but that seems to have passed for now, but I am sure he will start up again sometime. Good luck on the terrible twos b/c I can see it now also.
