My daughter turned 4 on Sept 6 and her first day of school was the 7th...she LOVED it!! She made a new friend, and now looks forward to going back (she is everyother day). I was nervous at first, i think it bothered me more then it did her, lol!!! She is my one and only, and just thought i'd get others to share in their first time!!...they grow up so fast...

oh wow interesting to see although all our kids were born same month and year they'll be in school different years, mine will start this fall, in our area in order to start K they have to be 5 before that Dec so he makes this cut off. I can't wait to see how he does I really have no clue what to expect, if i try to leave he gets very upset but usually when he leaves me he has no problem, guess he doesn't want me to have fun without him heh.

My son started school at 2 after attending a home daycare. The first day he was excited but the 2nd day he cried. This went on for about a month and it was really tugging on my heart. Then 1 day he said mommy give me a kiss, e then gave me a hug and told me good bye. He is now 4 and in pre-kindergarten and loves going to school. Winter 2011 he was upset because he had to miss 3 wks of school because I was on winter vacation from work and was not about to commute 2hrs to take him toschool. When I told him that he was returning to school on Monday, Jan.9 he began to sing and dance.

My son missed the cut off for kindergarten. I'm surprised by this post actually. My son won't get to go to kindergarten for 2 more years, he has to be 5 before he goes and just turned for on September 10th

I think we as parents are more nervous than the children,Mine started when he turned 3,i 1st took him to playschool for half a day so he can get used to playing with other children and then he so enjoyed it he requested on his own to stay longer and we havent looked back ever since the.

My daughter started school 3 week before she turned 3 yrs.First day she cried but later she got used.I was nervous too letting my one and only daughter to go to school with a strange teacher and kids from different places.
