Hi everyone,

Welcome to the September 2007 Babies community, where we chat about our September 2007 children and whatever else is on our minds!

To get things started, I thought it would be nice if we all introduced ourselves in this thread, which will be pinned to the community home page. Whether you're a Circle of Moms veteran or you're new to the site, let us know who you are, what you’re interested in, and what your lovely September 2007 child is up to right now, developmentally speaking!

Hi my name is Lacey. I love doing hair, singing, and have recently givin my life completely to the Lord. So I enjoy watching joel Osteen my fav preacher on tv reading my bible and spending time with him. My lil princess is really in to walking around the house singing and talking on the phone with a fake phone. For some wierd reason she calls 911 a lot. blahahaha and her friend sierra in her pre k class. Honestly she is so stinkn cute she has gotten away with a lot over her 5 years of life and Im in the process of heating up the discipline. Its hard but witnessing my 50yr old biological mother helpless and rude living with my grandmother that has always handed everything to her on a silver platter, I refuse to end up with a finger pointing mooch of a daughter whenshe grows up.=) She is such a bright gorgeous sweet ray of sunshine I believe God has big big plans for her sweet spirit. But yes she has attitude and screaming fits when she dosent get her way but hey didnt we all at one point? She has such a high pitched squeaky voice that sometimes if im not in a closet counting to ten, im in the closet hiding my belly laughs trying to be stern and straight faced when i come out. I have been a single mom since here real dad first became abusive and we left but its time to get back in the game...

My name is Shelley, Evan was born sept 18th, 2007. Let me tell you if he was my first he would have been last. These past 5 years have been a roller coaster. My oldest was text book. if he was to weigh "X" at "X" then he did. if he was to sleep "X" amount of time he did! Upside of this journey is I have to be on my toes and think outside the box! Wouldn't change it for the world! I love being a stay at home mom of two boys!

Hello everyone,

My name is Rachel and I am currently a stay at home mom and a full time student. I have a daughter who is 5 years old and I am currently 8 months pregnant with another little girl. We have found out in the last year or so that Andrea, our 5yr. old, has ADHD. It is something that I never would have thought we would ever have to deal with but we take it one day at a time.
I have my own in home cake/cupcake business for friends and family. I am hoping to further this as word of mouth gets around.
I am attending college for my bachelors in Criminal Justice so I can fight for the rights of abused animals especially pit bulls.
Its nice to have a place like this to come and talk to other mothers.

Hi ladies! My name is Sofia, my eldest son was born on September 9th, 2007, but was really due two days later. My little guy is now five years old and totally into Super Mario Brothers. He is amazing at puzzles, building with LEGOs, loves math (like his mum), so I fancy he may have a future in Engineering or building things. So long as he is happy that is all that matters to me (really! :) I am a teacher, a mompreneur (recently started my own online supplemental education website for students struggling in mathematics and science, check it out at www.mathwhisperer.ca) and have two more munchkins who just turned three (yep have my own set of boy-girl twins, bless them, but they are work :) I thank all of you for warming welcoming me into your Circle of Moms!

I thought it was funny when he was in pre-school any time he said that he was hungry and wanted to eat they would tell him that "The kitchen is closed"!

Hello All, I am Stacy. My daughter was born on Sept. 7th. I am a single mother and she is my only child, so yes she is spoiled :) She just finished Preschool and since the cut off date for Kindergarten is Dec. 1st here.. She is excited to continue her adventure in Kindergarten. Her Preschool teacher's gave her a perfect evaluation and told her there should be no problems with her in Kindergarten. I am just so excited especially since she will be one of the youngest there.

I am new to the Circle of Mom's website, so not sure what I am looking for yet. It will be fun reading all the stories and info though.

My name is Donna and my son was born Sept 13th. We are working on reading, writing, and piano. My son likes to do and eat things in groups of fours because, in his own words "I only eat four pieces of grapes because I am four years old!". Oh, this statement only works with fruits and veggies. If I tried to use this same logic with candy, he looks at me as if I have three heads!!!

She can be so sweet but when it comes to her asking for something she seems to not be able to do it without whining and tears. She has a beautiful smile and although quite petite she eats 24/7. She keeps us on our toes!

My name is Amy. My son was born September 5th.....he has no desire on potty training...I have tried everything and there are days where he goes on the potty then other days he could care less. Another thing I struggle with him is that he is a VERY picky eater...for the past year, all he eats is spaghetti and grilled cheese and a few other foods (snack foods of course)...but he is okay with weight and height so that is good to hear.....He loves his preschool. My interest is just my family and my job....I also have a 5 year old daughter.

Hi all! I just created my account a few minutes ago, so I'm a brand new user. My son (Xander) was born on September 27th. He is the youngest of my 3 children and my oldest son (his sisters are 5 and 10).
Xander loves preschool and numbers. He can count to almost 20 and knows all the letters, I just can't get him to sit down to learn to write his name (a required skill at the end of the preschool year). If anyone has any suggestions on how to get him to sit down and learn I would greatly appreciate it! I ask him to write his "X" with a marker and he comments back "This is my X mommy" and points with both hands, crossing his finges across one another to form an X.

Hi my name is Brittany. My son Aidan was born September 15th! He is showing me what an amazing gift God gave me on Septhember 15 3 years ago!! Aidan can count to 20 by his self! he can say most of his ABC's, and he has very clear speach. Its cute because we have been teaching him to pray before he eats all of his life, and we try to never forget to do it, but sometimes we do, and Aidan will stop in the middle of eating and be like HEY!! We forgot to pray!! lol! I love that! He can put his own cloths on most of the time. He does put things on backwards sometimes... but usually he is good. He knows his left from his right, Here lately he has been crazy about super heroes, and being a hero! He cant wait to go to pre k! I am signing him up for Tee Ball today, so he will be playing ball this spring! He is a very smart little boy! I am working on gettin my job going so that we can provide for our kids on our own. We lost our home about 2 years ago, and we have lived with Toms mom until this year we moved in with my dad, and I think its time to live on our own! So I keep kids for a living, and it has really worked out for me because I like kids better than I like grown ups most of the time! lol! My most important interest is helping my sons Aidan and Landon to be the best they can be! I love them more than I ever knew I could love.

My name is Christine. My daughter Tiffany was born on September 26th. She currently goes to preschool and is completely potty trained (was potty trained at a little over two and a half as compared to her older brother who didn't train until the DAY before his third birthday!) She speaks very well and is doing things at an earlier age than her brother. I attribute that to doing her best to keep up with him. They are very close (for being two and a half years apart) and I hope it stays that way. I lost my job almost a year ago and it's starting to take it's toll on us in quite a few ways, but I'm not sorry I've been able to have as much quality time with my kids as I have. Lord knows I won't be able to ever get that back, so it is what it is. Hope to make some new friends on this site and check out all the questions/answers/comments!

I think maybe it's helpful when they see their older brother or sister going toilet and want to be the same...like you , my eldest Finley was potty trained well over 3 so I wasn't expecting Bradley to be potty trained so early either. i think he always wants to be like his older brother so everything is coming quicker perhaps :) x
