I still give my son milk to go to bed... he is 17 months old and if he wakes up in the middle of the night I do from time to time sink and give him a sippy cup of milk...

I stopped giving my two year milk about 3 months ago! Now before he goes to bed i give him a drink of mi wadi tooth kind..Its great!

My 2.5 year old just gave up milk before bedtime. She was only having a few ounces, and I wasn't too worried about it and then one night, we forgot and she didn't ask for it, so we stopped offering and she's not asked since (2 weeks now). Sometimes they decide for themselves.

my son still has a bottle of milk before bed, though he only has water through the night. He sleeps cuddling the empty bottle... it seems to be a security thing for him. But recently I have been cutting the milk with water too, he hasn't seemed to notice and I am hoping i will be able to get him out of the habit this way.

I would just cut the milk off cold turkey...Prepare for the fussing, but you have to remember that you know what is best for your child...I stopped giving my 2.5 year old daughter anything to dring about a half hour to an hour before her bed time. Better now than later, she'll only get more into a habbit form with it.

I still give my son milk he is 2.5 and he wakes up for milk too still. im not sure how to stop this but if anyone knows please help. he wakes up 2-3 times a night for his sippy cup of milk. grr

im still giving my 2.5 year old milk and her teeth are fine i cant get her to stop drinking milk on the night time though this is a problem for me to she doesnt drink a lot any more but how much milk are you suppose to give them coz she only drink about 4 oz now how much u giving ur child?

I stopped giving milk and bottles at 1, that way they are still not emotionally attached to the process. The older they get the harder it will be to change that routine, going cold turkey may be harder for you then them but things should change pretty quickly.

I still give my 2.5 year old milk before bed and her teeth are fine. She sits with us on the couch and we read or watch part of a movie - she doesn't go to bed with the sippy. Haven't found a replacement for the milk yet, so if anyone knows something, let me know too!
