our son drinks at least a litre of water during the day and has a bottle b4 bed...huggies works wonders for us..but what i usually do is feel his nappy in the middle of the night and if i feel it needs changing i just change it...u can change them without waking them up...

Have you tried a larger size for bed time? We use a smaller size on them during the day and use a more expensive bigger size at night.

p.s. try giving him a 8oz bottle in the morning when he wakes rather than at night (or during the night), which might also help break the habbit! :-)

My little boy was doing this too so I swapped up nappy sizes from a 4 to a 5+ that helped alot and he is rarerly wet through now. He is a good drinker during the day and always seemed to have very wet nappies, but recently is drinking less which has also helped. Are you up in the night giving him bottles? My health visitor suggested switching to luke warm water in night bottles, which soon weans them off and then replace the bottle with a dummy as its the sucking they want (and need) rather than the actual milk/drink. Hope this helps! Good luck!

I had the same problem with my son. He was getting a full 8oz of milk before bed. I managed to cut it down to 4 oz and yeah the diaper is full but he hasn't soaked through. Good luck!

I agree - the Huggies Overnights are excellent. We had to start using these, too and no more leaks!

We have the same problem and I started to use the Huggies Nightime diapers. They're very full in the morning, but no more leaks. She's just a heavy wetter at night but these diapers are great!

We had the same issue with our daughter. I started to give her, her milk about 1 hr before bed and what was left at bed time about 1/3 of the sippy cup we put into her Nuby and she finishes that off and falls asleep and wakes up dry now. usually if there is more left we still put everything into her Nuby but she won't finish it now. Good Luck

We had the same problem with our 16 month old son...we are using Huggies Overnites now and they hold in all of the liquid...we buy them at walmart.

The only thing I could suggest if you don't do so already is to change his diaper before you go to bed at night. My son normally stays asleep during the changing and I hardly have problems with him waking up soaked.

Did you try Pampers? Can you get them there? My son can only wear pampers brand to bed.

There are specific diapers made for nighttime, made just for this issue. See if you can find some at the local store. They usually come in darker packaging, but you buy the same size.

Good luck!

Does he have anything to drink before bed? We used to give our son a drink of milk before bed but we had to stop for that reason... The other thing we tried was using potty training diapers made for older children. They have been a god send for us.
