transitioning from cribs to toddler beds

I've got 2 yr old identical twins. . . (adressing specifically parents w/multiples) how do you get your twins to stay in THEIR own bed? mine fall asleep fine in their elmo toddler beds but in the middle of the night 1 wakes up and comes into my room to sleep in bed w/her mommy. then when the other notices her sister isnt in the room she come climbing into my bed. a few nights ive battled it and told them to go to their room , then they scream and say no no mommy. & it'll take me about 2 hours to get them back in their bed and by that point im exhausted! any suggestions to help my sleepless nights? . . . . . .

Yikes, talk about double trouble! I only have one child and I've never dealt with this problem, so I'm not speaking from any real experience, but I think you just have to be consistent. If you want them to sleep in their own beds you have to take that stand all the time, you can't fight the battle some nights but then decide you're too tired on other nights and let them have their way. Just hang in there and keep trying!
