I'm almost 8 months pregnant with my fifth child at 43 and absolutely exhausted all day long. I havean 8 yr-old, 5 yr-old autistic son, 3yr-old and 14 month old. Did I mention my husband travels often for business? He is currently gone for at least 3 weeks. Also- looking forward to a c-section. Its funny- this is our last baby and I am excited to meet him but also thrilled to be having my tubes tied at the same time...lol.

You may not be getting enough iron if you're still tired and you and your daughter are both having normal amounts of sleep. Consider taking an iron supplement, or to check your iron levels first you can visit your GP and ask them to give you a test to check your levels. I think I'm suffering this as well - I've recently become a vegetarian and my daughter is 7.5 months, sleeping through most nights, yet all I ever want to do is sleep during the day when she sleeps - and sometimes I have to nap when she does to be able to make it through the day!

I'm still tired. My little one just started sleeping through the night. I hope the tiredness improves. It feels like pregnancy tired too.

I suggest seeing your doc. My baby is 7 months. I have hypothyroidism. I also have had mono in the past 2 months. The only symptom of it was tiredness. My baby didnt get it either. I am feeling much less tired now. Baby does not sleep thru the night either.

I am always tired, too. There have been a handful of nights where I have been able to sleep 8 hours at once, but I am still tired when I wake up. Sometimes it seems hopeless...like I am going to be tired forever! It's comforting to know other moms feel that way, too. Hopefully we will all get an energy boost within the next 4-6 months.

I have been having the same problem. I even went as far as taking a pregnancy test, because I felt like I was in the first-few-months-of-pregnancy-and-even-my-fingernails-are-tired kind of fatigue. But I talked to my doctor (she laughed when I said I had an 8 month old and was tired) and she said most women feel that way pretty much the whole first year. So at least there is some light at the end of the tunnel!

totally agree that exercise and diet are huge to make you feel better but also....(1)make sure you aren't anemic most of us are when pregnant and if you don't rebuild your stores thru diet you can feel really cruddy (2) have your doc check your thyroid gland as this can get out of wack from the pregnancy and take a while to recover. (3) try to have some "you" time during the week to recharge

Exercise and eating healthy have helped me have more energy. When I eat lots of junk, I feel junky. :0)
