9 months, not walking or crawling, super smart though! Lol.

Just like everyone else has stated, each baby will get there in their own time. My guy was rolling everywhere with no desire to crawl up until a week ago. (He's 9 and a half months also.) Now he's doing the army crawl also, and he'll get up on all fours and rock back and forth but he'll get it! He' loves to just sit and read with me, he can turn the pages and we have a golden retriever and when he sees one he points and screams! It's the cutest thing.
He'll get there, just treasure the time because in no time you will have to be chasing him everywhere!!

Don't worry, it will happen. My son never liked tummy time and we just gave up on it. He didn't roll over until he was 7 mos old. He never did the scooting or army crawling. He would sit and move himself in some sort of a circle to get around. He would get on his hands and knees and then his kness would go out from under him. We thought he would walk before he would crawl. But then one day he finally figured out how to get his feet straight and how to stay on his knees. Days later he was pulling up and cruising around furniture. We are trying to help him walk now, but he pulls his legs up so you have to put him on the floor. They all have their own time table. The one thing I kept telling our family when they would comment on him not being able to sit up, roll over, crawl or walk was "It's not like he is going to be 20 yrs old and not be able to roll over/sit up/crawl/walk" that pretty much put an end to the comments. Don't worry it will happen. Enjoy your time now, cause once he starts, he's not going to stop!!!!

Please don't worry my son was the same he has just turned 10 months and getting about now, but only started a few weeks ago i felt the same as you, i was sure he should be doing things but he seemed happy to lay there not doing a thing, believe me once he starts he won't stop and you will wonder why you ever worried, even wishing he would stay still for 5 minutes x

Like everyone says, each child moves when they are ready and in their own individual style. To encourage your son to move you can try putting a toy or toys just out of reach. This may frustrate him or it might motivate him to stretch that bit further and start moving. But given plenty of tummy time and opportunity and he will be moving. All the best

i really wudnt worry, my youngest only started crawling this week, he will only do it when he is ready to. my eldest never crawled she shuffled on he bum she was lazy.lol. i am pleased my youngest has crawled though but just shows that all kids are different. try tempting him with things he likes hope it helps x

My son Just started scooting around on his tummy a week ago, he's an army crawler. He gets on all 4's but can't seem to figure out where to go from there so he just goes on his tummy and scoots that way. For the longest time he would get his foot stuck underneath himself, but he eventually figured it out!! He cannot pull himself completely to a standing position on furniture yet, just to a kneeling position. I have people breathing down my neck too but I was told that every baby is different. Just look at it this way, you don't have to run around baby proofing and settin up gates everywhere yet!!!

My daughter only lunges from a sitting position. She hates being on he stomach and I too am trying different positions and temptations to get her to move. But she is smart and resourceful. She will pull a blanket to get a toy closer and she will use one toy to 'fish' for another. I guess babies do everything in their own time! I'm trying to enjoy her inabilty to get away :)

My son is 10 months he gets about commando crawling, and has just started to pull himself up and cruise around, They all just do it in their own good time, this is my 2nd and he has got things quicker than my eldest because he wants to chase after his brother, him on the other hand took ages to learn to walk and would just sit, They all do it when they are ready.

For what it's worth...relax! My son was the same way until about 2 weeks ago. One day your little man will decide to take off. About 2 days after that he'll begin to zoom. Enjoy!

My son is the same... he also does the lunging forward whilst on his bottom but only gets one leg out so ends up getting frustrated and I have to pick him up again! He pulls up to his knees in the cot from sitting though...I guess they just take their time! x

Hi, my daughter is 10 months and 1 week. When we went to her 9 month appt. all she was doing was army crawling and rolling and she wouldn't sit up by herself (she would sit fine when you put her in the sitting position). Everybody told me not to worry and that it will happen when she is ready. Then all of a sudden everything clicked and in the last 2 weeks she went from sitting by herself to crawling to pulling herself up to stand to cruising and now she even took 2 steps without holding on yesterday. At this rate she'll be walking really soon. hahahaha. Just hang in there and then one day soon he'll be running to you.

my daughter is not walking or crawling yet either. She rolls all over the place to get from point A to point B, but refuses to try and crawl! I think she will skip right to walking when the time is right. Every baby is different! I have a 1 year old niece who does not walk, crawl or even scoot around! All in good time!
