Elizabeth hasn't started walking on her own yet. She hasn't even taken a few steps by herself. She has started walking behind things (toys, chairs, etc) but not by herself yet. I have noticed in the last couple of days that she is doing almost like head stands. She looks like a little tripod. It's pretty cute :) Not sure what she is trying to do...

My daughter was like that too when she was first learning how to walk. Just wait! In a couple of weeks you won't get her to sit down!! She still trying to figure out things and gain confidence....boy watch out once that switch turns on!
We are having sippy cup issues too! I know she isn't getting enough to drink because she is super bound up so today I caved.....and gave her a bottle. I don't know if it's because we try too many different types or we just haven't found the right one or if it's just the whole milk. Who knows!

My daughter was born 9/30/08 at 9:20 am. She crawled right on schedule but is not quite walking yet. In playtime if she thinks it is to far to walk she gets down to crawl so I havn't seen her go more than 4 steps. Outside she will walk next to me holding my hand and she will walk as far as I allow her to hold my hand when I let go she sits down. Anyone else have this problem? In response to the sippy cup dilema, I started the sippy at 9 months and she was the same way with milk but was fine if it was juice. At 10 months I started to give her the milk sippy while she was reclined in the highchair and walkaway after she was done yelling at me she picked it up and started drinking, havn't had a problem since.

We are crawling and cruising here. Not walking on our own yet. She was a late crawler (started around Labor Day) so I am just realizing she will go at her own pace.

Just wish I could get her to drink her milk on her own. She drinks it out of a born free sippy (training cup) but I have to hold it for her...basically feel like it's no different than her bottle. Any tips or tricks from anyone would be much appreciated.

She won't drink milk in the high chair either. It's like she needs to sit in the recliner with me snuggling holding her blankie. I don't mind the snuggling part but I just know as she ages it will get harder to break this habit.

Hi 9/30 mommies!! Good news....WE MADE IT!! (through the first year that is!) How is everyone doing now that we no longer have babies...they are officially toddlers! How did all of the birthday celebrations go? Learning any new tricks? Walking? Talking? Concerns? How about you moms...holding up ok??

I'm one.. my daughter, Hailey, was born at 4:16pm

She just started crawling on the 27th but she's been doing with ne leg half stand half crawl kinda thing for the last 2 weeks or so. She's eating stage 2 foods and we've started her on other more adult but still soft foods. Still no teeth but they'll come in when they want. She says "dada" and "nana" and of course "aaaaaaaaa" or "eeeeeeeee" when she wants something. lol but Luckily she's still taking 3 naps a day :) 9 month appt on the 13th. I've already started planning the party for Sept. It's going to be big because my birthday's the 25th. so it'll be super fun too!

Jack started Crawling June 10th pretty much skipped the army thing and is full on crawling.. he was also progessing slow before but now he is cruising furniture, standing and pulling up on stuff. He yells da-da all day also confused lol Jack also has his 2 bottom teeth and working on a 3rd at the bottom. He just started self feeding puffs but won't eat stage 3 gerber food yet. Time went by way to fast Iam not looking forward to going back to work in a month :(

gavin is 27lbs now and starting crawling last week. he moves slow still and sometimes would still rather lay down on his belly and scoot! time has definitely went by fast. i have reserved a place for his birthday party and will probably do a baby einstein theme, since the baby einstein videos have allowed me to eat several meals warm!!!

Marissa just started crawling about a week ago. Before that she was doing this army crawl thing. Kind-of funny! She was getting pretty fast there for a while. She also just started to pull herself up to standing. Says "da-da" ALL the time...I think she is confused!!:) For a while it seemed like she wasn't progressing at all...then all of a sudden she stated to do all this stuff. We go in for her 9 month check up...I can't believe that I just said 9 months...on July 10th. I am pretty sure that she is pushing the 21-22lbs mark!!! We just put her in her "big girl" car seat...a little early I know but her feet were hanging over the edge of the other one! I can't believe that we are going to be planning a birthday parties soon!!!!! I officially became one of those mothers that say "I can't even remember when they were that small!" Time just goes by too fast!!

Marissa just has her two bottom teeth and she didn't fuss too much. If they seem to be bothering her I just put a little ambisol(sp?) on her gums. She hasn't been making a big fuss in that department just yet. I know she is getting her top teeth in. I'll giver her teething rings...even though she chews on everything else but the rings! Sorry I'm not much help:)

Cutting a third tooth here. She spoiled me with the first two and they just all of a sudden appeared...no fussing. Not this time...poor thing. Anyone have any good teething tips?

No crawling yet. Not even getting up on hands and knees. She just rolls everywhere. Anyone else's LO not crawling yet?

Can't believe they are going to be 9 months in a couple weeks! Where is the time going?

Gavin was also born 9/30/08 at 5:21PM. Like a lot of others on here, he is rolling belly to back and also hates being on his belly. He holds his bottle by himself when he wants to!! He sits unsupported and has just recently said ma ma!! Gavin is a chunk at 24lbs 13oz.

Getting frustrated with my mom and mother-in-law as they don't understand the back to sleep campaign and says she should doing this or that. Anyone else getting that?

My little girl (Marissa) is a piece of work! She is also on stay 1 foods...loves them. Rolls over from her tummy to back, not the other way, Hates being on her tummy and really doesn't have much interest in crawling. She just started babbling but no dada or mama yet:( Has been sitting up unsupported for about a month and a half. I totally am with ya on the first time mom jitters!! Marissa was 4 days early. This is really exciting to meet other 9/30 mommies!! It would be great if we can keep in touch:)

My baby was born two weeks early but in the 90 percentile for weight.  He's huge even though he was only 6 pounds 12 ounces at birth.  He likes carrots and pears but tolerates peas and bananas.  He can sit up unsupported for several minutes but hates being on his belly, so he might skip crawling I think.  He can roll over from belly to back but has to work at it, haven't gone the other way.  He was saying ah-goo and dada about a month ago and stopped.  Ped said it was nothing to worry about but what can I say - first time mom jitters.
