We are expecting our second baby in 4 weeks and we still don't have a name picked out. We need a boy and girls name bc we leaving the sex of the baby a surprise. Problem is my fiance wants to the name the baby after his dad if its a boy and i don't like the name. What should i do?

Do your own thing! Were it an old family name that had been used for generations, maybe, but honestly, the child won't thank his dad if it's a naff name!

I agree w/ Jessica I would see if DF would be willing to consider his dad's name as a middle name. What is his dad's names maybe some of the mamas on here could come up with some good parings for it? Are there any other heritage names in either of your families that you like and would consider for a first name?
DH and I had the same predicament when it came to name our baby. Thank goodness she was a girl(we too let the sex be a suprise). We had lots of girl options but struggled to the end to come up with a boy option we both like and that went with our last name. When your last name is Burns, it puts a hamper on a lot of names.

Suggest using that name as a middle name & finding a first name you like that goes w/ it.
