Hello moms!! I was just wondering how often you give your babies a bath. I've heard different things from different people, and, I guess, I'm just curious what other moms with babies (close to) my daughters age are doing!!

My son has a bath every morning after breakfast and every night before bed. It is a must. Wearing those nappies all day long and weeing on themselves must be harsh on their skin and i think they feel better when they are clean just like we do after a shower.

We bath every other day and we do it in the morning. He gets up, breastfeeds, plays, eats oatmeal, bathes, and then takes a llooooonnnnnngggggggg nap.

usually when she's messy...sometimes it's everyday or even twice a day. i just kind of go with the flow. the longest she's gone without one is 2 days. but my daughter loves bath time so sometimes i give her a bath just so she can splash and play...or just to get some sleep! when she's been a pill especially in the night i'll give her a bath because she wears herself out and goes to sleep almost immediately after i give her, her massage she gets after every bath.

I bathe my little one every other day. Being that she has sensitive skin, I try to keep it dry to avoid all possible breakouts! HOWEVER, she LOVVES her bath time.. I am so ready to take one with her because she soaks the both of us!

My son is 5 months old and I bathe him everynight with baby soap. He loves to taking a bath and splashing in the water. He does have eczema, so I just make sure that I lotion his skin after every bath, and he has not had any problems with dry skin since I first discovered he had eczema.

My son's skin was getting too dry by bathing him every day so my pedi told me to do it every other or every 2 days. Also to not keep him in long. 4 min max he said. I now do it every other and I use aveeno baby soothing relief creamy wash and then aveeno baby shampoo and wash for his hair. I then lotion him up with aveeno baby extra creamy lotion for eczema. It seems to be working, also the winter doesn't help.

I'm just like Taryn, we have a routine and every night at 8:30 it's bath time! And he loves it. He's 5 months now and have been doing this since he was 3 months. He gets a bath and then a bottle then bed. He's down until 7am the next morning!

We use soap every other day so his skin won't dry out, along with lotion.

I give my son baths 2-3 times a week, unless he has been having a really bad spit-up day, then he gets it whether its his night or not.  I usually do it right after dinner, he plays for a while and then goes to bed.

i bath my son pretty much every day there might be a day here or there that he ends up missing it becuase we have alot going on but he gets on atleast 6 days a week. but i know alot of people that only do it about every other day and then on the off nights they just spounge the baby down real good. to me i think its just easier to put them in the bath- or sometimes my husband or i even takes him in the shower with us. he enjoys his bath and settles down for bed much better when hes clean and warm!

I bath bubby about 5 times a week and about 3 of those are with soap and hair washing. She loves her baths and I find it's a good way to relax her before bed or calm her down if she's crying. She's just discovered the joys of splashing and of having her hands or feet under running water - LOVES it!

I (or mostly Mamai aka Grammy) gives my son a bath every other day. He gets a sponge bath on non-bath days.

I'm with Rena, we give our son a bath 2-3 times a week.  Our doctor said if he is dirty, bathe him... if not, don't.  He hates having a bath!!  Don't think I could go through that every day.  Can't wait until he is big enough to sit in the kitchen sink, that is when our daughter really started to like baths.

Routine is important!  Weather it's eating, napping, or going to bed.  My cousin was having trouble getting their daughter to sleep at night, their doctor suggested doing a bath each night (not always with soap)... took a few weeks but it works now she sleeps great.

I give my 5 month old daughter full baths about 2-3 times a week. I have heard too much bathing can dry out the skin (especially on their scalp). My doctor as well as the public health nurses say that they need to build up their natural oils in the skin. On the other days that my daughter does not get a full bath she gets more of a sponge bath to clean out the creases and such.

My son (5 months) also has a bath every night as part of his bed time routine; he loves it and won't go to sleep without it. However, since he has issues with eczema, he just soaks and splashes in the water, and we only use soap about once a week because it dries his skin out.

My son is 5 months old tomorrow and I bath every night. It is part of his routine for going to bed. He loves his bath time and is now splashing around in the bath.

I am Mrs routine, routine. I bath my baby every night after dinner. I don't always use soap, sometimes I just add a little baby oil and she loves it. She is five months old and is asleep in bed at 7pm every night. Works for me :) I also have three other children, now that they are older (7,4,and 2) routine isn't as important and they don't bath nearly as much.
