hello!

i was wondering what everyone's feeding schedules were like... how many ounces per day of formula? how much solid food? my boy is almost 5 months and a little over 17lbs and his eating has just gotten all crazy lately. he may have a little cold at the moment which is affecting his eating, but i just thought i'd ask to see how everyone else is feeding their little ones...

My schedule went out the window too once i started solids.  It gives me much anxiety. lol  My daughter doesn't want formula any more.  She went from 30 oz, 6oz every 3 hours to the minute.  Now, shes a mess only taking a few oz, yesterday only 12.  My doc says between 16-24 oz a day of formula.  I don't know what to do

My son is 19.4 pouncds or 8.8kg) as we use in Australia. We have him on a 4 hour feeding routine, basically at approximately 6.30am, 10.30am, 2.30pm and 6.30pm, I offer solids as well as milk at the 10.30 and 2.30 feeds (usually rice cereal or banana at one and pureed veg at the other). He is breastfed,

Well my boy is 5 months. He eats every 3-4 hours and has 6 ounces at a time. He also has 1 package of the Gerber stage 1 food twice a day...usually lunch and dinner, as well as the bottle. At his 4 month checkup he was 17lbs.

I don't normally count stuff anymore I just make sure I feed her at least 2 times solid food and when she wants formula then I give it to her!

Maddie is 5 1/2 months old and at her 4 mo appt was 16.8 pounds. I weighed her tonight and she was 17 pounds, so she has not gained too much weight since 4 mo. but she is more active now. Here is her schedule, which varies from day to day depending on her mood.

5:30-6:30 am wake up 5oz bottle

7:30-8 am rice cereal w/ 2 tsp fruit (just started this feeding 2 days ago)

9:30-10:30 5 oz bottle

1:30-2:30 5 oz bottle

5 pm 1 tablespoon cereal with fruit and veggie

6-6:30 pm 6 oz bottle and goes right to bed for the night until next morning

** She was drinking 5 bottles a day until a few days ago. She has between 21-26 oz per day formula.Hope this helps!

I'm not really sure yet if I can call it a schedule. She usually lets me know when she is hungry and she is almost always ready to eat at the same times every day.

8:00am wake up,

9am 6 oz formula

10am - 12pm nap

between 12pm & 1pm 6 oz formula

2pm - 4pm nap

4pm - 6 oz formula

6pm - about 1\2cup prepared rice cereal

7pm - 6 oz formula

8pm - bath and bedtime

4am - 6 oz formula

We are still trying to figure out how to satisfy her in the evenings. Tonight I gave her her cereal earlier and the formula right after to see if she could make it longer between feedings...we'll see.

My daughter turned 5 mos. on the 18th and she's 17 lbs. This is our feeding schedule during the day. I don't know how many oz. she is getting b/c I breastfeed though.

8:00 wakes up

9:00 breastfeed

10:00 nap

12:00 3 tsp. of oatmeal cereal and breastfeed

2:00 nap

3:00 breastfeed

(she has one nap starting anywhere from 4:00 until 6:00)

6:00 breastfeed

9:00 2 Tablespoons of rice cereal and breastfeed

9:30 bedtime

3:00 a.m. breastfeed

We just started the cereals at our pediatricians recommendation (rice, oatmeal, then barley) then at 6 mos. we'll be starting the other solids.
