Happy Birthday to your little one. My girls will be one on the 9th also. We are just having some friends over and having a small get together. My girls cry when other people are around so it's best to keep it small. We aren't doing a theme. Just keeping it simple for them.

We have not picked out a theme yet. But we are having Jadens party at her grandparents house. They have a big yard and lots of things for the kids to do. Her birthday will be big. My husbands father comes from a big family, so the are lots of cusins that have childern the same age or close to it. As for being big all my girls had big first birthday parties, never had ony problems, but was always able to put them down for a nap when needed.

Happy 1st to all the Sept. 08 babies :-)
My little Levi is having a pirate party at a small park right by our home. We can't wait! His birthday is on the 17th but the party is on the 13th. Hope everyone has a great time with their little 1 year olds!

Hi! Happy Birthday Everyone!

My son Alex will turn 1 on the 17th. We are having a family party, but because we both have many siblings, its going to turn out large. ugh. so we are having it at a park with plenty of open space so if Alex gets overwhelmed we can walk away for a moment.

As for the theme we are having a blankie themed party. I know it sounds werid, but my son loves his blanket! So what more fun then to have everyone bring their blankets and have a picnic in the park! :*) I just hopes it doesn't rain!!

I hope everyone has fun at their parties!

Angel and Robyn, I am on the same page as you. We are keeping it small as well, just family and close friends. I am going to keep and eye on him and if I notice he is upset or over stimulated I will remove him from the crazyness and have mommy baby time. Not going to force him to do anything he doesn't want to, if he wants to play instead of eating cake and opening presents than thats what he will do, it is his day, so he will run the show.

I just chose the sesame street theme, cause I like to decorate.

Jesika: How did your son make out at Chuk e cheese? Did he get upset at all during the time you were there?

I like your way of thinking. I am going to keep it small here at the house and just let Jaden lead the way. When he gets too tired I will take him up to his room to chill or maybe nap and he will be in a familiar place so he should be alright. He doesn't like a lot of people coming at him so I hope he does alright.

We are just doing a family thing i think unless something changes between now and then.. He turns 1 on the 22nd so we have a little time. I did the big party with my oldest and it was a nightmare complete with worn out screaming baby, so I won't do that again..
