First off, I would like to say happy early birthday to all the September 2008 babies! I can't believe mine is turning two already. What an amazing two years it has been! What I was wondering was what everyone is planning for their tots birthdays? What kind of party? Where? What kind of presents? I've looked up ideas but wanted to know from you all what the big plans were?

how cute that her daddy's bday is the day before ur daughters....my birthday is two days before my son's...but we just focused on his bday...it was cute cuz for a whole week my son and daughter (she's 3) were singing "happy birthday Max and Mommy..."..i think i kind of confused them cuz we had his party on the 25th, my bday is the 27th and his actual bday is the 29th...

We had a quiet party with just the family at home. Her dad's birthday is the day before hers so it gets to be quite a challenge to figure out what to do with him. We went to a park for her daddy's birthday and she got to play with other children her age.

Since I have two girls turning two we are going to do it big. Were renting a bouncy house from a company that will set it up in our yard. We'll have italen food and ice cream cake. For gifts they'll get toys, cloths, their toddler beds and who knows what else the family will bring. I just hope they have a blast. Although there a handful, there also the greatest blessing god ever gave me. We'll also have a much smaller celebration just the girls, dad and I on Dec 5th the day the girls were actually due on.

I can NOT believe my lil man will already be 2 his bday is Sept 2 so we are going to have a party on the sunday. He has 3 other cousins that are september babies all on the same side of the family so we are going to do it big for the 4 of them and have a nice cook out and ask family to bring a dish. I made his cake last year (a dino theme) this year its a monkey theme (its cheaper than curious george) so im going to make him a monkey cake. For presents the local disney store went out of business so i made a killing when they were going out of buisness so im giving him a few of those things from that and some stuff ill give him for christmas. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY SEPT BABIES!!!

I didn't do anything for my son's 1st birthday, so I probably won't for this one either. But man this time has flown with him. It feels like it took my daughter forever to turn 2 and now she is almost 9. My son is so loving that if he gets a new stuffed animal, he's good and that's about all he needs.

Happy Birthday September Babies! Well, for my little man, we will have his party at an indoor inflatable playground with all of his cousins and a few friends. As far as the theme, I was hoping there would be some Chuggington themed items here in the USA, but unfortunatly there isnt. But I think I will try my hardest do it, Bryce just loves that show. And his presents are still up in the air. We have no clue what to get him yet. But I am certain that he will have a blast.

We are having a Mini-Mouse themed b-day for Taryn. We have a large backyard, so we will just have the party at home. We got her an outdoor playhouse, Mr. Potato Head, Magic Markers Coloring books, + sum music toys. She doesn't at all understand what a birthday is, but we are super excited for her!

For Sierra, we are doing the same thing as last year. We are having her birthday party at my parents house, since it's closest to our families and friends (we live in another city.) They have a lot of house space for the adults and plenty of yard for the kids to play and have fun. We had about 25 people last year and are expecting a little more this year, so yeah.....simple foods and games though.

We are doing another party at our house with friends & family. He's going to blow the candle out on his cake this year! Planning on blocks and a tricycle for presents. He is fascinated with bikes, so we figured the trike would make him happy, not sure if he's coordinated enough for it but he will learn :)

We are having a Cars themed party and might have a little pool set up in the back yard, or go around to our neighborhood playground. Just have 2 or 3 friends over and some family.
We are getting ready to do the bed transition so his new bed is his "big" gift. Then we will probably do some books and puzzles because he loves that kind of stuff. Or more toys to play in the water because that is another one of our favorite past times. We have 2 under 2, so it is not like we need anymore big toys.

Markus is loves animals, so we're inviting two of his friends to come to a farm animal place where you can look at, feed and touch the animals. We're having picnic morning tea there with sausage rolls (his favorite) and cup cakes. I'll make little farm animals out of fondant to put on top of the cup cakes.
He's getting an easel for his birthday, one of those with a black board on one side and a clip for the paper on the other. I'm sure both he and his one year older brother will ove that!
Happy 2nd birthday everyone! x x

Thanks, my girls are going to have a Muno themed party from Yo Gabba Gabba. The girls are obssessed. My mum has made them Muno t-shirts and have sent and got decorations from the states so that is going to be exciting. Just got to try my hand at the cupcakes for muno and the cake. It is going to be wonderful.

Wow! This is a great community! We were thinking of just having his grandparents, & uncles & aunties. We were thinking of going to Farrell's Ice Cream Parlor at the mall and then taking our son to Fun Factory to play his favorite games like skee ball and riding the kiddie rides. He had a huge 1st birthday party last year and are saving money this year, so a small party makes sense for us. As for presents, we got him Barney DVD and Thomas the Tank Engine DVDs. I think I'll get him his first Thomas train toy. Thanks for letting me share!

We are thinking about an Elmo party. Really wanted to have the party in a park, since we have kids of different ages coming. But the price of the parks double on the weekend:( So, we are going to have a party at our house. Going to try to set up activities for the kids to do outside(Hopefully no rain this year!:). I'm going to TRY to make Elmo cupcakes. We basically plan on suggesting gifts that entertain his active side(ie: outdoor toys, bubbles). Hope you have a great time with your party plans:)

Time flies!! For Liam's 2nd birthday, he's having a Construction Theme Party. He loves tractors, excavators and big trucks...pretty much everything that have huge wheels and is big! I have started my Internet research (loads of it) for ideas on activities, decorations, cake, etc...I'm sure he will love his dumping truck with brownies birthday cake.

My mother is a childminder so as Ty's birthday is on a Thursday all the kids my mum look after are his friends, so we will have a special tea with In the Night Garden plates, cups etc. We're buying him a bouncy castle which all the kids can play on for his party and taking him to see In the Night Garden live show. He is obsessed with In The Night Garden

We're having a party with immediate family only this time, not all the family and friends. We're doing the Cars theme, with a Lightning McQueen pull-string pinata (I'm so excited!) We're getting him the cars toddler bed (his crib converted into a toddler bed by we're trying for another child so I'd like him out of the crib so he doesn't think we're taking it away for the 'new baby.' We're also getting him a big wheel.

I think I will make a cake and get my little one a new book, but I don't think he really understands birthdays yet and I think a party would be strange to him as we aren't accustomed to having large gatherings at home. Even the cake will be more for us as he isn't terribly interested in sweets yet.

We are having a party for son. He is really into Alvin and the Chipmunks, but Im still thinking we might choose his second favorite (Yo Gabba Gabba). There is a place here in columbus, oh, called Kingdom of Bounce. It is nothing but a room full of moon bouces and inflatable things that the kids can play in. Its actually VERYYY affordable. And its been easy on us, money-wise, since his god mother offered to pay for half of the place rental. He'll be getting all kinds of gifts from clothes, to books, to a tricycle and ride on atv for kids.

thanks for letting me share!

We're doing an Elmo cake, and we just dropped some money on shoes for the kiddo, so we'll wrap up those. Grandparents will shower her with gifts, I'm sure.

We are also planning on doing the "big girl" bed transition about then, so that will be part of turning two. She and I have already taken out some of her "baby" things like the changing table and put up the matching drapes for her new bedroom set so it won't be like she's sleeping in a whole new room or anything. I don't know if the bed will be set up on her birthday exactly, but she's not conscious of dates on the calendar, so it's not that big of a deal.

We are having a "Yo Gabba Gabba" themed party at grandma's home....two hours, we can all hang. We only get to invite two friends..... treat bags, cake, finger sandwiches, punch.... it will be fun with bright colors and I'm using the little toys for the top of the cake! She'll love it!

My husband and I are planning either a Elmo or Dora themed party for our daughter! We haven't decided yet if we are going to do it in the yard or around the corner at the park that she LOVES to play at! We haven't decided what we are going to get her yet either, whatever it is though, it will be special!! Happy 2nd Birthday to all the September 2008 babies!!!

Im planing a simple party at the park. there is plenty of playground equipment to keep all the kids occupied without needing too many game ideas. I am going to have a Dora party and i was planing on getting her either one of those play kitchen sets, or a power wheel

We wee going to have a small party at a local childrens activity centre (small as in 6-10 children). There are lots of large climbing frames & slides, ball pools, inflatable toys etc etc...But I've just been made redundant (great timing right?)...so we're holding back on the money front right now. Instead of paying for a party, we have just invited several friends to the centre, it only costs £3.95 per child, then were having everyone to our house for some party food & cake :)

That's the afternoon anyway, in the morning we are having a Mummy, Daddy & baby birthday card & present opening session & in the evening both sets of Grandparents are coming round for a family meal.

me and my partner have decided against having a birthday party for chelsea's 2nd birthday because we are expecting a new baby in a few months time and are saving our money at the moment, instead we are just going to get her a couple more presents and take her too the beach or some place, just as a nice little family event this year =)
