help my 14 month old son has a 42 c temperature

my son has had a temperature for a couple of days now and when i tested it moments ago his temp was 42 c. he is teething, should i take him to the doctors?

Yes take him in!! That temp is dangerously high!!! That is WAY higher than what a fever from teething would be. I use Fahrenheit, but I converted that temp, and that is 107F... normal teething fever is 101F
I hope he gets to feeling better!

if you haven't already take him too the dr that is way to high teething wouldn't cause a temp like that and your lucky he hasn't started having Febrile convulsions a temp over 39c and isn't brought down by panadol or lasts more than a couple of days NEEDS to be seen by a Dr good luck i hope he is feeling better already. :)

I don't know what 42c is in farenheit so I'm not much help but if thats not too high i wouldn't worry much. Its fairly common for kids to run a low grade temp when teething. If you have tried tylenol and/or motrin and thats not getting it down, try putting him in a lukewarm bath. If he still has a temp call the dr and see what they suggest :)
