My twenty two month old is about 30 lbs. & is almost 36 inches in height & I was just curious to know what other children her age weigh & how tall they are.

Something leaped on the inside of me when I read all these posts. Ok, I've measured and weighed my son over and over in disbelief, getting the same result every time. Here it goes...
My son is 6 months and 2 weeks old, 20.9 lbs, and 31.0 inches tall. How's that for "tall"?
It's off the charts! I mean, last night I looked down at him sleeping in his crib and thought, "man, he's gonna outgrow this crib by 8 months old. Where am I gonna put him after that?"
It's getting more and more difficult to feed him. He's too long to fit in my lap for bottle-feeding anymore, yet he is unable to sit without tipping over in 3 seconds, so I can't put him in a high chair or he'll slouch over to one side. I ended up with a c section due to his height. He was 21.5 inches when he was born. But what's strange is that I'm only 5'4" and my hubby is 5'8". We both don't know where our son is getting his height from. Do we have to be concerned? I mean, he is 6 inches taller than the average 6 month old according to the charts, and according to Circle of Mom folks here, my 6 month old is as tall as a two year old?!!

My Daughter is 36 inches and 31 lbs and she just turned 19 months a few days ago! She is so tall the Doctors said she is only 1 out of 100 girls her age that will be that tall!

Not sure about pounds and inches, Valentina is 2 on the 13th September. She is 83cm and weighs 11kgs roughly. But she is Gluten and Dairy free so she hadnt gained weight in a while since we didnt know about the gluten. At that age I was 84cm and about 10kgs. So I predict my daughter is going to be as short and skinny as her mother =)

My daughter will be 2 on September 2nd. and she weighs 35 lbs and is right at 3 ft tall. But Her father is 6'5" and I'm 5'11" so she's not going to be a small girl. Its just really funny to see her next to her cousin that turned 3 in may and she has about 10 lbs on her and probably is right at the same height. but her parents are tiny compared to us!!!!!

My son's 23 months, he's probably 25-26 lbs and 35-36 inches. He's a skinny skinny little boy, but that's the genetics for ya!! He can fit into 6-9 month shorts, but the pants are waaaay too short, i have to buy 2T pants with the adjustable waist bands!

Hi I have twin girls, Indentical. Julia is 8.9kgs and 80cms high and Lillian is 8.6kgs and is 80cms high. Not sure if this is going to mean that they are tall. They are nearly 23 months old and on Sept 13th will be 2. 80cms compares to 31.5 inches and their weight is in pounds:
Julia: 17.8 pounds
Lillian: 17.2 pounds
They were born early, 6 weeks and have always been tiny, as you would expect with twins. Just looks like all the energy is going to their height not their weight. Would be curious if they will be tall girls.

children grow at various rates some may grow quickley other may take more time it depends when they have their growth spurt my DD is 22 months and is 3ft tall now im 4ft 11 so she doesn't have much longer to go till she will be as tall as mommy. genetics can play a large part in it and is normal for a child by the age of around 2 to go through a period of growth. they will often slow down shortly after that. until the next big growth spurt around 5 or 6 on average. i wouldnt worry about it unless your family dr. has concerns. childrens weight and hight will always be in flux until their late teens.

my son well be 2 on sept 8. i thought he was tall for his age since he is taller than a cousin 6mth older and the same height as his 2 cousins that are 4yrs. but after reading some of ya'll comments he seems to be average. he is 36inches and weighs 30 lbs. i guess all his cousins are just way short.

mine is about the same as yours! she was 30 pounds today at the Dr's office (23 months), but didn't check height because it was a sick visit. She was 35.75 inches & 28.8 pounds at her 18 month check up.
[We're tall too. I'm 5'10 and my husband is 6'4"]

Hello! My daughter Emerson is 28 pounds and 32 inches. The charts say she's tiny, but she's just a little smaller than most of the kids we meet at the playground. I'm 5'1'' and my husband's 6'1'' so she'll be in the middle!

Although tall for most kids her age, your daugther is close in size to my son. He is 35lbs and 36.5in tall. He is in 3T-4T clothes and when we go out people assume he's older and give me weird looks when he acts 2. I just laugh it off.

Ava (who is FTT) is 24lbs and 33 inches long. She is in the 15th% and has a feeding tube. No weight gain in almost a year. We think its a result of Dumping Syndrome after a gastric surgery to her stomach. So wouldn't compare her ;) We think that just being on the growth chart for a change is a simple win!

That was my daughter at her 18 mo appointment. I'm scared to take her measurements again. She seems like a giant! She's as tall as our neighbor girl who is six months older than her. We are going to get her a flower girl dress on Monday, so I bet we find out how tall she is then!

Moo weighs 10kgs (22lbs) and is 82cm (32inches) tall.
We are often told how small she is for her age - 22 1/2 months but we do not worry as it is not like there is anything you can do to change it at the end of the day.....
