My son is ten months old.He isnt crawling, but he is very verbal. Zayne likes to play on his own for a bit, but than wants my attn. I can understand that... But my floor is all tile.So I feel as if I have been limiting him because I am afraid to let him crawl. We are movin soon. thank god

Noah is nearly 10 months and doesnt crawl but does babble a bit! We have laminate floor and I often think that this is the reason why...

my house is also mainly tiles but my little daughter crawls all over them, they dont bother her at all. i'd have to say that she's equally active and verble, she talks and makes noises all day and is always moving around, she's hates being still.

Shawn turned 10 months old on the 6th.. he's been crawling and cruising on furniture since he was 7 months.. and has been standing on his own and will take a few steps since 8 and a half month..He has also developed quite the vocab.. he'll say.. Mama.. Dada, daddy, auntie, fishies, ut oh, baba and Hi.. which is currently a favorite

tyler is walking around still a little wobbly but hes said dada and mama and he babbles non stop... he pulls up on everything and he can climb up a couple stairs.. (not cool) he tries to climb out ofhis pack n play and crib.. and if he gets to daddys dresser he will pull out the highest drawer that he can reach and pull himself up on it... he is a very tough kid... that scares me.

Quoting Crystal:

Yes My son Is officially 10 months today, and I know he will be great once he takes off and goes. Once I get over the over protected momma thing.

My son is very active. Crawled early, is cruising around the furniture and very inquisitive. He is also very chatty. He says "Dadda" and his sister's name "El" or "Ellie". One morning about 6 weeks ago he called out "mummy" from his cot but most of the time I get called "Babba". He is my third child and I love seeing how each child develops differently.

My daughter crawls....everywhere and she is fast, lol. She also says dada and baba (not really sure where baba came from because she has never taken a bottle, but that is what she calls her cup, lol) and she babbles all sorts of nonsense and does this whispering thing....lol, like she will look at me with mischievous eyes and go "Shubsuhbsshshshs" like she is whispering. It's too funny.

She is just now starting to get the whole pulling herself up thing so we'll see. I don't think she'll take to walking anytime soon!

She'll be 10 months on the 16th.

My little girl is much more active than she is verbal. She doesn't have any words yet, but she cruises around like mad. She crawls everywhere and pulls up on everything and walks while holding on. Just recently she's started letting go and balancing for a minute. She does make lots of noise, but none of it is words.

aWW. mY SON ONLY SAYS DADA. so MUCH. HE IS WITH me all the time. so I figure that he wont say mama cuz he never has to call me. I am always there. Dada works and does his thing.

My little guy has been working so hard on crawling and pulling up that he has yet to start babbling. Although, he does a lot of growling, laughing, and squealing.

Get some babylegs! I love love love them! We have wood floors through out our house and my youngest (9 months) is always wearing them on her legs and my son loves them on his arms.

My little one is always crawling after her brother (2 1/2 yrs old) and playing with him. She will say "dadda and ni ni (night night, for bed)" She has said "momma" once or twice, but that's it.

We have laminate and carpet and I'll tell you my Caydie's knees and chins have built up like this tough skin in those areas. But I was also told depending on your baby they may not like the cold hard tile. So a rug would help alot if it's that he doesnt want to crawl on it.

Dont worry about having tiles! Mine will crawl outside on concrete! and yes i use to freak out about cuts and stuff but he never has!! You can try putting down a rug or picnic blanket for him to play on
