I have just noticed my Daughters small bit of skin the joins the top lip to the gum is stuck between her front teeth although there is no external signs of this and you can only see it when you lift the top lip up i still wanted to get adive. Ive taken her to the Doc and they said its the same conduction as being tongue tied and this needs to be snipped to release her top lip. Has anyone else gone though this with their child??

My son was severaly tongue tied, and his doctor wouldn't snip it unless it affected his eating. Now it's not even a factor, can't tell at all. Not sure if that's similiar to being lip tied, but figured I'd put my 2 cents in.

My daughter has upper lip tie but i havnt had it sniped. the only thing i found was it madded breastfeeding slightly harder as she had a 'click'. she is now 19 months old and it is impossible foranyone who doesnt know about it to know. i plan on leaving it til she is old enough to make the decision as to whether it should be cut or not
