more frequent naps??

My daughter is 11 mo old and for the past week she has been napping 3x a day instead of her normal 2. She can only keep herself awake for 2-3 hrs and needs another nap, sleeps from 1-1 1/2 hrs and is then happy as a clam. She is also stil sleeping through the night. I guess it could be attributed to lots of things. She cut two of her 1st year molars last week, we live in Maine and it has been very very hot the last 4 days, question growth spurt . I guess i was just wondering if anyone's little ones are doing this!

My daughter still naps twice a day for about 1-1 1/2 hours each time. I wouldn't worry, you will probably look back at this time, and wish she took 3 naps a day again!!

My son is 11 months old and for the past couple of weeks he has been napping 2x during the day which is a HUGE accomplishment since he's never really liked napping before. He usually sleeps about an hr to an hr and a half every nap, sometimes longer for his afternoon nap. i heard somewhere the closer they get to age 1 the more naps that they will take, I think its because they are soo active now, playing all the time. He is usually very happy too once he has slept.

I don't know what it could be. My son only naps once a day and has done that for the past 2 months.

Mine's not, but he will have sporadic days like that. Maybe it is the whole growth spurt thing.
