Help!!! My baby boy is scared of the scary monsters in his room, i dont know how to help him see that there are no monsters. I've tried letting him sleep with the lights on, trying to read him several stories before bed, and a few other things, nothing seems to work, i dont know what to do!

I used a spray bottle filled with water and told my son that it was scary monster spray "Just a couple of sprays and away the scary monster stays" lol

I had problems with this too. My aunt had told me to use a room spray in there room and tell him it is a monster blocker, the monsters don't like the smell and they will go away.

My daughter likes to watch Scooby-Doo with her grandfather and comes home telling me about monsters and witches and such. Apparently there's even a bear that lives in our hallway! Since there is no convincing them that they're wrong at this age I went with it and told her that nothing inside our house, car, grandma's house etc. could hurt her and that none of the mean ones could get into the house. So now the bear in the hallway is a good bear who keeps the witches and mean monsters outside and protects her while she sleeps. :)

my 8 yearold had that problem when she was about 3. The Veggietales movie "where's God when i'm scaed" worked for her. We also got her a cool looking flashlight to take to bed with her, because she said monsters don't like the light. I tried convincing her there was no such thing for months and it didn't do any good. When i finally agreed with her that there might be something scaring her she was more open to trying things to get to sleep. Telling her she was wrong just made her more upset and less able to calm down. I never agreed that there were monsters in her room but was open to the possibility.

I don't have any experience with this, but after watching Monsters Inc, my daughter loves monsters. We draw pictures of monsters (cute ones, of course) and she just eats it up. Do you have stories about being scared of monsters or the like? I have heard that reading stories about things that are going on in their real life (new baby, potty etc) helps them understand. Good luck with your brave little boy! :)
