if its hard it could be hurting and sitting on it dont help it come out... try more juice.. my child needs like 2 sippy cups full a day.. or she has hard poop.. and wont wanna do it..

Sometimes when my son has to have a bowel movement, he has trouble doing it sitting down on a seat, though he tries so hard. I simply put him in his play pen and usually gravity seems to do its work.

my son had very hard firm bowel movements and so he didn't want to poop, I have switched him to goat's milk and we haven't had a problem since.... don't know if that maybe the problem.

MAYBE IT FEELS UNCOMFORTABLE FOR IN HER DIEPER. MAYBE YOU SHOULD START POTTY TRAINING

Do you mean she wont poop unless she's in a sitting position? If that's so try putting her on the potty. She may not like the way it feels when it touches her body or she may not like sitting in it and is afraid if she does it in her diaper that she'll have to wear if for a bit. Just some thoughts, good luck.
