I have starting potty training also. My son went on his potty for the first time the other day! We started about a month ago, my sons doctor said it is okay to start but not to enforce the issue because he is so young. So if your son or daughter is showing signs go ahead to try! What I do is a routine after he gets up in the moring we go and sit on the potty then after lunch which is also before his nap and after dinner and before bed. We made it a point to have this schedule and soon it became that he went and sat on the potty everytime I did or his daddy. Although he has only actually gone once, he does tell me potty either before or after he goes so he has the concept down. I just made sure when he did go the other day to praise him bigtime! We told daddy as soon as he walked in the door and called mom mom on the phone to tell her! he was so proud of himself! I'm glad I started already to give him time to want to go potty instead of pressuring him to be potty trained!

We were gonna start because she has been showing interest for quite some time and tells us when she goes or right before. But when I took her for her 18 month check the doctor told me it's best to wait until after she turns 2. So now I am all sorts of confused lol

The trick is to just be consistant and praise her when she does go! Clap your hands and tell her yay so that she knows that she has done somthing good! It's tedious and long but in the run it's worth it!
