Serenity is a pots and pan freak, she also loves garbage cans, which is why they are all up on the counters now *sigh*. She loves my slippers too, she trys to put them on.

My kiddos have always loved cardboard boxes. They will find a million and one games to play with a simple cardboard box. Also empty travel size shampoo containers and such, pots and pans, plastic grocery bags (we put them inside a tied up sock or stockings), egg cartons, pretty much anything in the kitchen is fair game for them.

My Son loves boxes, brooms, playing ball with the dog, running, smelling flowers, jumping, playing hide and seek, reading books with Mommy & Daddy :)

When my older girl (now 8) was a baby my dad was lamenting how terrible all these fancy electronic toys are for children's imagination and ingenuity. One of her favourites was the telephone, and because of this some friends bought her one of those fancy ones with batteries that makes various different noises etc. when you press the buttons... but... her favourite telephone was her red wooden building block that was bridge shaped. She'd much prefer to hold that to her head and have a conversation with it than play with the fancy "proper" phone!
My 14 month old loves laundry - she'll help me arrange it on the clothes horse in front of the fire and likes to help put things away (but always in the wrong places lol!)

Zach is the same way....give him a straw and he's busy for hours!
I have a drawer in my kitchen that has tupperware that I very rarely use that is "zachs drawer" He gets into it and plays while I cook.
I could go on and on about things he loves to play with that aren't modernized toys..

My son (14 months) loves empty plastic bottles. He also gets into all the tupperware and wooden spoons. We have a small laundry hamper in the kitchen, and lately, he has been highly entertained by pushing/pulling that around. He also loves, loves, loves blankets, as many as he can get. When I fold laundry, he'll pull all the blankets out and pile them up so he can dive into them; and he plays peek a boo with them. Oh, and of course, empty boxes.

Marlee plays with the microwave popcorn and cereal bar packages while I make dinner. Yup, crunchy, shiney paper, nothin beats it! Oh, and newspaper, too!!
