What time do you put your 21 month old to bed? And at what time does he or she actually fall asleep? And what time, does he or she wake up the next morning?

Dana- no she is not she rarely if at all wakes up at night and mostly it is due to her teething or when she gets sick both of which aren't often. But I elusively breast feed so no bottles at all which is just my personal choice.

My husband carries my daughter around and sings to her until she falls asleep before putting her in bed. Tonight he had to work late, and Bila finally fell asleep - 2.5 hours past her bed time as I did not have the strength to carry her around while singing to her. Reading all the posts from you all, I wonder if it is too late to start a different routine?

Lisbeth, I'm just curious....you mentioned you breastfeed and bed-share with your daughter....does that mean she's up feeding through the night?

Same as like Dana, my baby girl tells me she wants to go to bed if she's really tired and its not her normal sleeping time yet. She baths around 18H45, than dress around 19H15 (she LOVES bathing and stays in till the water gets cold...) and in bed and asleep by 19H30. However if she's had a busy day, like she had on Saturday, she'll sleep earlier, on Saturday it was 18h15...She doesn't have a soother/dummy/pacifier but does have a doll, Manoe that HAS to come to bed with her. I work in the evenings and my mom, with whom we live, phoned me once in a panic as Manoe was nowhere to be seen, luckly they found her and Alethea went to sleep. But normally no problems what so ever and that's been going from day 1. I've been blessed with a super easy sleep baby!!

Roxanne goes to bed b/w 7-8 depending on our day. She falls asleep immediately and on average she sleeps 'til 6am (b/w 5-7, depending on her bedtime the night before) She also naps for 2-3 hours right before or right after lunch, depending on her wake time.

Roxanne LOVES going to bed and often volunteers that it's, "bedtime, mommy.....sooder, mommy?".....I have a great lil' sleeper! ♥

Hi, my 22 month old twins go to bed between 7pm & 7:30pm and generally get up about 7am. They also have about 1.5 hrs sleep during the day. I find that routine and lots of activity = great sleep! They have slept through the night since 7 weeks post term - thank goodness! Cos it's full ion when they're awake!!

Oh dear. I'm maybe leaving my girl late. She goes to sleep around 9:30-10pm & wakes at 9am. I've joined a gym so go at 6am while everyone is in bed & am showered & have my house work sorted by the time my girls are ready to get up. Obviously when it is time for nursery & school it will all change but it works for us. If we are going out the next day she is fine with going to bed early. I usually takes her about 10 minutes to get to sleep. She stopped her day time nap at about 17 months all by herself so she sleeps right through the night. I got lucky that was as so does my 4 month old daughter.

On a great night My Daughter goes down on her own in her own room and "big girl bed" at 7pm until around 8am the next morning. Ive found she sleeps alot longer if my older son isnt home as he tends to wake her up earlier. Ive also noticed the busier the day and less of a nap in the day = a better sleep for the kids!

We read the book "Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child" it will tell you everything you need to know. Get your little one on a sleep schedule and life will be good again! Since reading that book, our son goes to sleep in his own crib about 7pm each night and wakes up about 7 am...its so lovely. It took a week or two, but now he's asleep in 5-10 minutes. And we never had to let him "cry it out". There are plenty of other ways. I hope that book helps you as much as it helped us!

We start routine at 745pm (snack, jammies, brush teeth, story and snuggle) and he's in bed for 8:15pm.
He's almost always asleep by 8:30pm.
He gets up around 8am sometimes 745am and sometimes as late as 9am.
He naps for about 1.5 hours still in the afternoon.
