Hello all, I'm new to circle of moms so I'm still trying to figure out how this all works, bare with me :) I'm currently expecting with my first child and as I have entered my third trimester I was hopeful to start nesting and getting things finished and ready for the baby. But instead I have been met with another wave of exhaustion I thought I had shook during my second trimester. Any suggestions for getting past this tired feeling? When do most pregnant women start nesting?

It all depends on you. I too have entered my 3rd trimester and feeling the exhaustion kicking back in. However this is my second child and I have been nesting here and there. I have moments where all I want to do is clean the house, my sons room as well as my nursery in preparation of my daughters arrival. I like the moments where I can just relax. Take your time it will come when you need it to, do not worry about it because you will get exhausted when you do start to nest but the rush of getting things done will try to outweigh that. I hope this helps and good luck :)

Three kids, fourth pregnancy. never experieneced any nesting. Don't mind the mess, delay washing the little clothes till the last possible moment. no urges to clean, paint, rearange. We'll see what happens this time round.

With my first prenancy, I nested about 36 weeks. It was right before she came. My second prego, I nested a little earlier and now with this one, I get urges here and there. I am 30 weeks and hoping that I get a really big urge really soon. lol. Some people never get it. Just do a little at a time when you feel you want to do it. I agree in asking for help! Sometimes you just need a break from chaos. And sleep now...when the baby comes, either you won't get the chance, or won't want to because you'll want/have to clean.

I had never heard the term 'nesting' until my last pregnancy which was only because someone had used it to explain my urge to clean everything. I was just starting to consider it obsessive compulsive disorder but i was wrong cause once my daughter was born the urge dissappeared. During that pregnancy I started cleaning and what not at 7 months although I didnt prepare anything for her such as swing, crib, bassinett etc until a week or 2 before she came. I am usually a procrastinator and since my other 2 were delivered via c-section i wasnt worried about what if i go into labor before i get it done. I started again about the same time this pregnancy.

I'm 29 weeks with my 2nd child, and my nesting instinct has totally set in. But, it never happened at all for me when I was pregnant with my 1st. If you've got a lot left to do, and you're too worn out to take care of it, enlist help from friends and family, I'm sure they'd be happy to pitch in!

Thank you for the advice! I guess for now I'll give in to the mid afternoon nap when I can and just enjoy it before much longer that won't be an option. And as far as the nursery and having everything in order I still have a couple months no need to stress just yet. Thanks again for the advice and good luck to you too!
