Bio/Doner Dad getting married and having another baby??? Help

My almost 8 year old son's Bio/Doner dad just got engaged and having another baby. He has not had any contact with my son in almost 2 years, never paid child support, or even birthday cards or Christmas gifts. Am I wrong to be totally pissed about this?? I love my husband very much, and he has been way more of a dad then my ex will ever be... We want my husband to adopt my son, but we are wondering if we should pursue getting child support. Please any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Of course you have the right to be pissed, you have the right to any and every emotion you experience. If you've got a court order for child support that has gone unpaid you have a good chance of getting what you want but don't be afraid to play a bit dirty. Even if you don't there should still be plenty you can do. The court system may not be the fairest but it can still work. Talk to a lawyer to double check the laws in your state. Your best bet will be to offer the biological/sperm doner dad two choices: either pay up the back child support (this can be garnished out of his paychecks or even unemployment checks and his tax returns) or forfeit his parental rights. If he chooses the latter that will leave your husband free to legally adopt your son. Good luck.
