Hello everyone. I read a book that really help me put things into perspective. It is called How to Be A Good Parent Through Divorce, can't remember author's full name but last name is Hanibal.

It touches on how to deal with the other parent, how to deal with your child when they are not taking it well (like I learned to just sit and hold my son while he cried cause he missed his dad, I didn't say anything other then 'I know'), and just a way to relate to your child so that you don't harm them or your relationship with them.

It does apply even if you are not going through divorce and if the other parent is not in the picture. Good luck to all as I am going through the struggles myself of parenting two boys whose fathers don't care to be a dad.

Another good book is Have A new kid by Friday - Dr Kevin Leman He explains how to react to situations when to just leave the child because it is nothing serious and when a situation is serious it's a very good book.
