Has anybody had any experience with what to expect with a custody and child support agreement in Texas? I've heard from a few people that the noncustodial parent is able to keep the custodial parent from moving out of state. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this or could point me in the right direction.

I live in Texas and my custody papers don't have anything in them about living/moving out of state. On the other hand one of my Aunts ex-husband had it put in their divorce/custody papers that she can't even move out of the county without his permission. So I would say it varies by case. To my knowledge it is not in written in the "standard" custody arrangement.
One thing I have learned - Don't be afraid to ask for what you want. Your request may not be seen as a big deal to your ex and he could agree to it or with the right justification a judge will.

Try the DLLR website for texas. The one for Maryland really helped me out.
