Im a widowed single mom and my little girl celebrates with her grandpa and we send a balloon to heaven covered in lipstick kisses. I do hope to one day get credit for wearing both hats. When she gets older I hope.

I go golfing with my girlfriends every father's day - I'm the only mom in our group, and single mom at that, and they all love my little girl like she's their own.

I agree credit should be given where credit is due. While other moms have significant others to mow the yard and fix the sink I figure all that out on my own.. thank you very much! :) A great big pat on the back to all of the single moms!

Nice thought, I think of all those fathers days that we did not acknowledge because there is no relationship to celebrate. Then one day I decided that we would acknowledge it and make it general and not about one person and it opened the door to lots of conversations which were really rewarding and revealing.
