You might try squished bananas. Most babies love bananas. Applesauce or fruit spread would be a good alternate to jelly. Most jellies are full of sugar.

Never, ever Peanut Butter - creamy or otherwise. They shouldn't have that until at least 3 years of age. My son is allergic to peanuts. If we had given him peanut butter as a baby, he wouldn't be here today.

my son who is 8mths loves vegemite on his sandwiches but i dont cut the crust off as i know a lot of children that had it that way and now they dont eat their crust but you do whatever u feel is right. I think if u are watching them eat give them whatever (within expectations) as they are going to have to learn how to eat right?

smooth peanut butter, hard boiled egg yolk, cottage cheese, mild cheddar and edam cheese, fingers of cooked carrot, broccoli. These are suggestions fromthe stage 3 6 -9 month section of a book I used called THE BABY AND TODDLER COOKBOOK AND MEAL PLANNER BY SARA LEWIS. This is an excellent book and gives loads of things that little ones can get new teeth into and my 8 year old loves to make them for her 2 year old brother. Hope these help.

what i would do is get some ham turkey...whatever she eats....pure it in a blender and just cut in small bits!......thats what we do at work for our pure seniors with no teeth

I just would have the Deli cut a slice of Turkey on 8 which is a thick cut and and cut it in cubes but I did not do this until my child was closer to a year. 8 months is kind of young to be expecting you grandchild to be eating a sandwich.

Eight month old babies should be eating baby food. Starting them on other things without the doctors consent can cause food allergies and possibly choking hazards

Well my Youngest Ella is nearly seven month she loves soft cheese in her sandwiches.

Cut the crusts off first.
