I started just sitting my son on the toilet right before bath time. Kept it low key, no pressure. We graduated to using the potty before he got dressed, before we left the house, things like that. Made it kind of routine. He was nearly trained at 3 and dry through the night by the time he was 3 1/2. With boys, I think the less pressure the better! They will do it when they WANT to do it! They are men in training, after all:)

Good luck!

PS: Big boy underpants with a fave action figure or character is sometimes a good incentive too:0)

my son is just about 2 still isn't potty trained... he knows how to use it and will sit on the potty but rarely pees let alone poops... i'm in no rush to get him potty trained... my one friend's boys were 3 before they were potty trained and they just suddenly wanted to be big boys and wear big boy underpants...

My oldest boy was 4 yrs old and my youngest was 3 1/2. You just have to keep working with them! In my case mine knew WHAT to do, they just wouldn'...then one day they decided to be 'big boys'...seriously, just like that!!
