My oldest son is in Senior Kindergarten, and goes to school every other day, all day. A while back he fell and hit his head by the fench, first thing in the morning, before the bell rang for school to start (he takes the bus to school). He asked 4 different teachers and staff for ice for his head, and each time he was refused it. When he got home after school, he told me what happened, and he had a huge goose bump on his head...big, and he has a hard head, so I know he had to hit it hard. It is school policy to call the parents for any type of head injuries. The fact that I wasn't called, and they completely ignored my son's request for ice made me furiously angry. He could have had a concussion. I went to the school and confronted the princpal, she was very apologetic, but wouldn't let me talk to the staff involved. I thought that my son deserved an apology from the teachers/staff involved in not listening to him. How would you have responded to this?
