Is it normal for my baby to spit up so much?

[deleted account] ( 6 moms have responded )

My son turned 4 months today, and every since he's been around 6 weeks he spits up after almost every meal. I've talk to his doctor and she told me burp him half way into the feeding and that it should minimize. I've been doing so, but about 30min after the feeding, and a few burps he still manage to spit up everywhere. Now he isn't losing any weight, actually he's in his weight class. But I need to know is this normal?

yea check it out with his PCP cause jaylen was the same way. until i switched his formula to GOOD START the ones on wic he didnt like. plus if u have wic jus have your his doctor to write a note/prescription stating that that particular formula is the only one he can eat and they should switch it for you.

My daughter always bought up her food. Turned out she had reflux. She had to be on medication and I had to change her formula.
At the end of your esophagus is a little flap that's supposed to close after you swallow. My daughters used to stay open, that's why she bought up her food. She's now five and can't actually stomach uht milk or full cream milk. She has to be on lite milk.

HOPE THAT HELPS HAD TO TAP MY MEMORY BANKS BECAUSE THAT WAS ABOUT 20 YEARS AGO BUT IT DID WORK FOR HIM AND AFTER THAT i WOULD BURP HIM AFTER HE FINISHED EATING AND IT WAS NEVER A PROBLEM AGAIN.
