Why dont you get a paternity test done? i understand the implications, but it sounds like you are not sure who the father is.Put your mind at ease luv. if not then...ask yourself does it really matter how light or dark your little angel is? Dont stress, just enjoy motherhood and your adorable little one!

From what I understand Is the boyfriend was black and the friend was white so she's asking If she looks like she a bi-racial or not. From the picture I'd think she's not bi-racial but again you never know. :)

Your baby is darker than mine and my daughter's father is REALLY dark. Right now she seems like she is takin on more traits of me which seems really odd to me but I think she will be rather light but she is still very beautiful.

Is your best friend white? I have a bi-racial little girl and when she was first born she was WHITE! However she will be 2 in August and if you didn't know any better you would think she was full black! So do not make any assumptions based off of her color! But anyways she's beautiful and I wish you the best of luck!

Hey Kristin. I have a daughter Tanysha who is 20 months. I am very light skinned women. Her father is from Jamaica and very dark. His other children are darker! I find in the summer she goes really dark from the sun and in the winter she is more lighter. She never showed her "true" colour until I would say she was almost a year then she skin tone leveled out! Don't worry with genes yours might just have played a stronger role. She is beautiful just how she is!!! Christie

You can follow the old wives tale of checking the back of her ears. The color on the back of her ear should give you and idea of how dark she may get. However, I have 3 children that vary in shade and hair texture. Heritage will determine who's dna was more predominate. Either way light or dark, she is your gift & perfect in every way! Despite the circumstances in which she was created.

Sometimes it just takes a while for a child to come in to their own. From this picture the child looks black. But.....You have to look at the child and what the child will see in the mirror. If the child sees a black child--so will the rest of the world. I think I would concentrate more on loving this baby and regardless of the color..She is yours to love and cherish if she came out with stripes and dots...

people tell me it takes up to 2 years for a baby to get there whole color and another way to tell how dark you baby will be is look at the ears and they will be as dark as the baby will be and she may just be a light baby and allways will they may take after you or someone else in the family so you never know

Im confused?? The baby I see in the picture is clearly Black and not exactly light skinned. Both my daughter's father and I are Black and about the same skin tone; My daughter was born pale, as are almost all babies and now she and I are the same color (she's 1) but she "got her color" around 5 months old. If you look at the top of her ears and around her fingernails that will show you what tone her skin will be. Keep in mind that kids do not always take after their parents- your baby may favor a family member.

i was light until after my 3rd birthday. im brownskin now. just give it some time. its common for black babies not to get their color for a while. look at her ears and fingertips, if they are darker than her complexion now then u have nothing to worry about (they say a baby will be as dark as their ears and fingertips). i think u should just relax, ur baby is black.

Hi Kristin. My daughter was very lightskinned when she was born and her dad and i are both dark. She's 2 months old now and she's still getting darker. Your baby will get darker i'm sure but it also depends on your family genes i think.

All three of my children were born very light skinned. With my oldest, my granny told me I ate too much cheese while pregnant with her. but my 2 oldest kids have dark skinned fathers, and the youngest father is lighter than I am and a brown complexion. My son became dark before his second b-day. It took my oldest daughter a couple of years before her darkness began to show, and she will be 8 in Sept. My youngest will have my skin color because she in a shade darker than her father. so I suggest you wait and give it some time for her skin color to really come on out. you may be surprise, So i would not really worry about the skin color at all, if she belongs to him, it will show. Maybe not in the skin color but it will come up somewhere else.
