Hope this is helpful for you .... What I recommend is that you visit your local beauty supply shop and look for hair care products for African-ethnic hair types. Specifically, you will want a moisturizing shampoo, an after-shampoo conditioner, a daily-use leave-in conditioner, and a light oil spray. In addition, you will want to get a styling product. I can recommend Motions styling lotion/setting lotion.

Get hair lotion, the kids kind in the african american section of hair products. I used this alos and I use a small amount of coco nut oil. the lotion will make her curls pretty. and no frizz! I have dry course hair as well, with curls n this is the best stuff!!! Let me kno how u like it....O n the hair lotion I love that doesnt dry up or itch is called BB oil moisturizer with castor oil and aloe. Pink n white n black bottle at walmart. The oild i useis Nourishing CoConut milk by organix. you can find that near the shampoos. its in a clear bottle with gold on it :)

One of the best products is called "Liv"! Works great! It's not greasy, or cakey and it keeps hair moisturized. I have a nice grade of hair and I use that whether I relax my hair or keep it natural! I used to use Just for Me and Pink but the Just for Me dried up quick and Pink makes your scalp itch. Good luck

Here is what I have learned over the years, the frizz comes from a combination of split ends, hair not knowing which curl to join & dry hair folicles. You have to have a cut, product & style triple attack. A good cut is everything but almost no one can cut curly hair! Keep trying until you find someone who can cut it right! Use a thick conditioning mask once a week & use conditioner every wash! You do need product, work it into the hair wet and let it air dry (if it's a cross between conditioner and petrolium jelly it's the right kind) As it's drying try to shape the curls. If your little one is still really little you will probably want to avoid over producting her hair, but use your judgement, go with trial and error and stick with a routine for at least a week at a time. You have to 'train' curly hair to make it work for you. Oh, and just wait until puberty, it changes. ;-) Good luck!

Oh ya i forgot to tell you... that product is only about 6 bucks and is made with 100% natural herbs. Totally safe and not to greasy! Leave in conditioner didn't work for me, but combing with conditioner still in while bathing is AWESOME! Let me know how that works for you.

I have daughters with the same problem. I find the best way to do it is , when washing her hair comb it with conditioner still in it. That will help with the frizz. Then when she is all done bathing( get this product) finger some AfricanGold " super sure gro" in her hair and do not brush again unless you are styling it. I hope this will help! Chantelle

and yes it is a big deal that you use a leave in cond. and a wide toothed comb. and not alot of product.

okay let me fill you in a lil bit...that "just for me" stuff doesn't work. there isn't much of that kids stuff that does. only brush her hair when it is wet with conditioner in it and use just your fingers or a wide toothed comb. If you want a moisterizer, use lustrasilk while her hair is still damp. Like the other girl said, let the hair air dry. Other than that you don't really want to use a whole lot of product in her hair til she's older. Good luck to you!

Yes, As Much As It Take To Put In A Pony Tail Or Style...Its a good product for kids it wont make it unhealty... another suggestion would be to try and find someone who can braid her hair..even though she young if its long enough it can be braided in a style suitable for a young girl put different color beads on the ends so it matches all her lil outfits and you dont have to do nothing to it fot at least a week....

All you need is some water and grease and you'll be ok. Another product that is good is Kids organics Protein & Vitamin Fortified Healthy Hair and Scalp Remedy or the Just for Me Creme Conditioner and Hairdress. They are both like pink lotion, but they're not as greasy. It calms the hair making it more managable. What I do for My Cousin is grease her scalp with the Kids organics and just massage the Just for me into her hair. This should work, but if it doesn't email me and I'll be more than happy to help you out. My email is momo1908@yahoo.com

hi my daughter is two and has very tight curly hair, we had to go to a stylist to get her hair untangled she recommended this product , by design line called Olive oil leave in conditioner, it doesnt make the hair oily, just when its wet. but her hair with that in doesnt get frizzy, let it dry naturally for best effect. its awsome!
