HI there, I am Laura and joined the site last week. I am 28 and live in Lancashire UK. I am a single mum to my 2 year old daughter. Like you, all my friends that do have kids are married or have partners. Although we swap parenting tips, it is hard for them to understand somethings as they arent single parents. I would love to meet more single parents whichis why I also joined the site. x

Hi, I am a single mom of a 5-year-old. I think God blesses us single moms! We must be special people to be given a child and asked to do it all by ourselves. Think of how we will feel when they turn out to be wonderful contributors to the world! What an amazing gift and responsiblity! xxoo

I'm new to the group. I'm 26 and a single mom of a 6 yr old boy, 3 yr old boy, and one week old girl. Her dad made me lots of promises, but hasn't followed through. My mom called his father, who put him on the phone, and told him Kaylee was here and the stats and all he said was "okay okay okay." I haven't spoke to him since January. I've thought I might go crazy a few times, but remember I'm super mom and just keep on keeping on. My mom and step-dad are amazing though! They just live 45 minutes away.

Recently, I've become a single mother to a one year boy. Things didn't work out between his father and I. The days are long and lonely. Any suggestions on how to make these days feel less lonely.

Hi, I am a recent single parent. I have a daughter who is 7. I am widowed . My husband passed in January in a snowmobile accident at 42 years old. This is quite new for me, but, my friends are all married of course, couples are hard to be around for me.( right now any way) They do not seem to understand the changes when there is only one member in the house to take on all the responsibility. I live in Wisconsin. Nice to meet you

I live in NSW Australia, and i wish i knew more single mums!! I did the pregnancy, delivery and raising of my 15 month old son all alone and as much as i love it, it can get very lonely & isolated!

Tougher road then I thought, but all worth it =)!!  I adopted my son...he came home with me at three days old and now 19 mths =). I'm from Cali, introduced myself up above.......I want another eventually whether it be by birth or adoption =)...dating sucks out here lol.
