ok is it to late to shape my sons head he is 14months??

Yeah, it's definitely too late. but shaping the head doesn't make it smaller it really just gives it a round shape.

It may be too late. The only thing I can suggest is to make sure he changes sleep positions each night and at naptime. I wouldn't worry too much. My nephew had the weirdest shaped head when he was a baby - kinda squished in on one side - but he grew out of it with no help at all.

lol I completly know what you are talking about and yes i believe your son is to old to shape his head because it needs to be done when the soft spot is larger..My son's father told me I did good shaping his head and i was like WTF are you talking about and he explained it to me but I didn't do anything the way he came out is the way his head was his mother{my son's father's} was telling to to shape his nose and it's sorrta like is my son made out of clay or something? I am leaving him the way he came out because that is what God intended..Hope that helped lol

I have to agree with Suzi & Megan. A baby's head is usally bigger than its body and grows faster then the body but as Suzi said you need to consult your Dr as it could be serious. If you are attending an ante-natal baby clinic perhaps the Nursing Sister there is able to better advise you but whoever advised you to SHAPE his head is certainly not a parent of any sort.

I am 50 years old & I have NEVER heard of shaping a baby's head...I am with Megan on this one...children's heads are large....If it is unusually large, you should see your child's doctor to find out if there is encephilitis or other strange swelling...You don't "shape" a baby's head any more than you can shape their eyes or nose or give the longer legs by pulling on them....this is insanity!

I was told that I didnt shap my son head while he was an infant and thats why it's bigger than norm, Thats what Im talking about

im sorry i'm just confused... this sounds like some of that ancient culture shit.. like how the chinese ladies wrap their feet so they can't grow... unless their is something seriously wrong with your baby i think you should leave his head the way it is.. and dont forget there is a brain in there and its formed to the shape of his head too
