What is a easy way to potty train a 3yr old little girl? Sometimes she goes other times she doesn't. Just don't know what to do. Tried m&ms & cookies, but nothing. Single mother and having trouble, any sujections? Thanks

I bought stickers and let my daughter decorate her potty chair. I also bought her big girl panties that she picked out herself.

I used a reward chart with my son. He was the same way as your daughter. He went to the potty when he wanted to and always had a bowel movement in his underwear. So, I went to supernanny.com and printed out a reward chart. He got a star every day that he didn't have an accident. When he got to 10, he got a special prize. With in a few weeks, he was completely potty trained. Now that he has turned 4, I use the reward chart for him to dress himself and make his own bed.

The only way I could get my son to potty train was by letting him run around the house naked all day. He knew better than to pee on the floor (although there were a few accidents, luckily most of our house had tile floors). And he had a potty chart and Elmo stamp. Every time he went on the potty he got to stamp his chart and put a stamp on his hand, foot, arm, etc. I didn't like using candy as a reward because candy wasn't just a potty thing, but things like stickers or temporary tattoos work well too. As long as they are only "potty" rewards. Good luck, it's tough, but rewarding once they are trained!!

Best thing is competition!
Show her another younger child using the potty and tell her that if little Sally can do it, why can't she? Your daughter will get stubborn and start to use it too!

Mine loved putting stickers on her chart, she would bring everyone that came into the house in to see how many stickers she had!

Even now she's been potty trained about 6 months I still do a sticker chart, only she gets a sticker for staying dry every day instead of everytime she goes, when its full we go to subway.
