My daughter has eczema and it is the same kind of rash.. does it itch? my daughters would crack too from her skin being dry. It tends to happen more in the winter time.. your doctor or dermatologist can give you a prescription cream that will help. I wouldn't put any other lotions on her except Johnson and Johnson until you figure it out.

My daughter had roseola and I freaked... I was ready to call the doctor and everything. I had no idea what kind of rash it was when she got roseola. But my grandmother took one look at her and said not to worry that it was roseola and it would go away on it's own. So I saved myself and my baby a trip to the doctor's office that day.

Roseola is from a virus and clears up on its own and I agree with Deanna about the fever witht he rash. Contact dermatitis is a rash from most often an unknown irritant. The dermatologist will ask you about your soaps, perfumes, laundry detergent, floor cleaners, etc. If for some reason the rash goes away before you see the dermatologist, take your pictures with you. Good luck.

i was thinking roseola too. if it goes away in a day or two, that was it. roseola also doesn't itch and comes after a frever breaks.

I was thinking Roseola. That's why I asked about the fever. Take Florance's advice though and seek a dermatologist. Maybe they can help you get to the root of the problem. Good luck.

I suggest a dermatologist consult with pediatric experience. Contact dermatitis is what it sounds like you are describing but not sure. If it has gone on for a while, it may be something more along the lines of eczema.(Not uncommon and not contagious). If you use lotions then I suggest change to Cetaphil (a generic is available at Walmart and CVC). Our dermatologist suggested it for our little ones. Good luck.

Could you provide some more information such as are they small dots? Large dots? Where are the dots on her body? Sometimes giving just a little more info can lead you in the right direction of what it could be.
