Hello there,

Single mther from the east coast as well. I too do not receive support from the sperm donor, left me at 4 months pregnant.

Worked like a dog and all my income was going to day care and babysitters since i was working in retail, so when i was faced in the new year with time with my 3 year old boy or slavin for money i was not saving. I chose time with my son so here i am job searching again because money is tight.

There are things i miss about being in a relationship and others things i am like thank god.

I am in the same boat you are in I feel the same way.I have now been single for 2 yrs now and befoe that I was in a 18 yr relationship with my kids dad.That was the only person I know.I tried to date but It was hard cuz I either see things in them that my ex used to d or I pick them apart and or they have 5 different baby mommas.I want to be with someone who is special to me and my kids and love us both.But I think all the women who don't desever a good man have them,

Hi ladies! Single mom to 5 year old Hunter who just started kindergarten this year. I work full time and take college classes online and at night. I hope to transfer to a university in the fall. I think one of the secrets to keeping your sanity as a single momma is to remember that it gets hard but we will ALWAYS get through it.

Yes Terri, this is a cool site. I do find it hard to chat up on it and really connect with other parents but it's nice to go back and forth with people and hear what they have to say and help or sometimes be helped. I'm not much for change, I wish they had like a "chat" area. Ya know. Like old fashion AOL chat rooms. (just for parents on here though.)

HI Sui.  Where did u move from?  I'm new to where I am too. (well not new but 1 1/2 years in.  Still feels new sometimes.  Had a hard time making friends here too... I have 3 good ones but I never really see them. Everyone has their own lives ya know.  Sooo different then from where Im from.
