Hello Everyone I am a single mom of a 10 month old little boy and it can be really tough especially when it comes to money. I have pretty much have taken care of myself and my baby from the time I found out I was pregnant. I thought I'd share with u all some of the helpfull resources I found out there. I was living in Lincoln, NE at the time and took parenting classes at the Lincoln crisis pregnancy center. They also provided me with clothing, baby equipment and lots of other things that I needed for my baby. Another thing they offered was free counseling. All of this was at no cost. WIC is also another good option. Some other things to look for are services that churches offer. There is one that offers angel food ministries, which is discounted boxes of food. To all of u out there trying to make it on your own and raise a child, dont b afraid 2 ask 4 help and search for resources to help u.

I completely understand what you're going through! I'm a single mom of a 9 month old little boy and it is extremely hard! I love it and wouldn't change it for the world, but that doesn't make it any easier! One thing that helps me though is whenever I feel like I just can't do it anymore I look at him and see him smile and it helps me through it all! My son's dad says that he isn't really the dad and I found out after I was already pregnant that he used to be a drug dealer, had been in and out of jail, and had even been on trial for MURDER!!!!!! I moved a couple of hours away and have no contact with him. I feel like it's better for me to struggle with money than to have a man like that in mine or my son's lives! It's still really hard though....one thing I really dread is the day I have to explain to my son why his dad isn't in his life....Do you ever think about that?
