im 6mouths and the father has not called to ask about the baby but says he wants to be there when she is born and everyone keeps saying i shoud take him for child support and he dont want me to and idk if i want to. this is my frist and only i was just wondering if anyone has any advise?

Here is my question to you. Are you comfortable with him taking your baby every other weekend for 48-72hrs every other week alone? You have two options IMO; you either want him involved, or you don't. If you don't think he should be around your kid alone, then do not file for child support. It's kinda shitty to demand a man pay for his kid then refuse to let him see that kid.
Also, a lot of men will go after visitation after the moms file for child support. They decide that if they have to pay, they are taking their kid and seeing their kid. So, again, I ask you, are you okay with handing your baby over to this man every other weekend for 48-72hrs?

Whether or not you have him at the birth is completely up to you and what you are comfortable w/....
Definitely pursue child support. It is your child's right (morally and legally) to be finanically supported by BOTH of her parents. It is also your child's right to a relationship w/ her father, so along w/ setting up child support it would be a good idea to set up some sort of visitation schedule.
Non-custodial parents who refuse to pay child support are a pet peeve of mine, so... Good luck!
