I have recently met this wonderful man and we both became serious about each other. Of course, we both want to take things slow as we both came from being divorce. Anyway, his father became ill with the pnemonia on Saturday right before Valentine's Day. His father was in the hospital for some time, then he came home. He said his father hasn't really came out of the wood from his illness and my boyfriend has been taking care of his father. I would text him to let him know I am thinking of him and hope his father is getting better. Sometime, I would text to find out how is father is doing. He would respond back from time to time. Last time I heard from him was last Monday(2/20) and he said his mom is now sick and his daughter is having stomach problem. He said he was overwhelmed and that he has his hands full. I tried texting him to find out if his family is doing better, but no respond. I decided to back off on texting and would just text him to let him know I am thinking of him. That is all I say now. I know he needs his space, but I am praying that what he tells me is all true and no lies. What would you do if you where in my position? I know he has alot on his plate right now and needs his space so I am trying really hard to give that to him.....

It is totally possible that he does have his hands full and even though its hard you might just have to settle for the back burner for now. If he has three people close to him really sick that is alot to take one and he probally doesnt mean to be cutting you off, he might not even realize how much time has pasts. Maybe just text and ask if there is anything you can do for them, make a meal and take it over, grab stuff from chemist do a load of washing. If he says no thats fine but its always a nice offer
