New to North Berwick

Hey a while back I went to the playgroup that meets every Wednesday at the community center on Lebanon Rd. Is there still a gathering there or did it move to Thursdays? What time do you all get together if this is still going on?

I went in 2008- our first year here. Very nice ladies and I did have a nice time, just felt like the oddball since I didn't belong to the church- at that time everyone there did, and it was the same thing every week- go over the book for MOPS, discussion, then a craft. There's another MOPS group or something similar that meets at Curtis Lake Church in Sanford. I have thought of going but we seem to have found a good group here on Weds- just had half of them over at my house all morning.
Always nice to meet new people though and my lil guy needs little people to play with as opposed to his 10yo big sister!
Where abouts are you in North Berwick? We just moved here beginning of 2008. We came up from VA.

when did you go? i have joined this year, and i went a little last year, and i think it has changed a little. :) There are a lot of moms that aren't artsy! (I am one, although I like to pretend! Haha!!!) Well, if you ever want to give it another go, let me know! :)

I hadn't even seen the date of your original post lol. I used to attend the MOPS group in Dover. Great group of ladies. Our playgroup here is more a fit for me- I'm not into artsy craftsy things and it was too much the same thing every week for me. I need laid back and go with the flow type of setting- plus I felt like I didn't "click". Plus this way I don't have to pay anything. Glad you found something that fits you and your lil one.

We have been here for almost a year now! :) I cant believe it. I have attended the playgroup, but found a MOPS group in Dover that meets every other Weds (1st and 3rd of the month) and it is just a better fit for us! :) Thanks for the help though! If you want more info on the MOPS group just let me know!

Hello there! I am in North Berwick and just joined Circle of Moms. We do have a playgroup that meets every Weds. at the community center on Lebanon Rd. If it's too cold to go outside we meet inside and everyone brings toys and the kids play together while we visit. There's a good bunch of kids- usually around 6 or so ranging in age from 10 months to 4 years. My lil guy is 2 1/2 and we are there just about every week. We meet from 10:30 till around noon-12:30 and everyone brings their own snacks and drinks for their kids.
When it's warmer we are outside as there is a nice playground and picnic shelter there.

Hi Mollie! Welcome to the area! If you are looking for playgroups, activities etc. check out http://maine.momslikeme.com. There is a group for Berwick moms and people post alot of info about playgroups and upcoming activites. Also try the Sanford moms group, they usually have alot more going on and a much more active group of members. Good luck! I hope you and your family are enjoying southern Maine!
