My 13 year old son wants to play football.. Wow who doesnt want their son to play sports here are the problems.

1) He is lazy as can be cant even hardly get him off the couch and he complains his legs hurt when grocery shopping and asks to sit down.

2) He is not dumb by any means but he catches on very slowly and at present knows nothing about football we just finally got him to understand what the line of scrimmage is.

3) Is hard of hearing and needs to wear hearing aides to understand. With his helmet on they not only squeal but makes it even harder to hear.

4) When things get to hard he just quits.

The list goes on. With my son I think that his acidemics should always come first as he struggles to learn. What do you think,.. should he play or should he work at school and do somthing less challenging.

As a mom of two sports kids, I see it as a great outlet. I am sure that that his coaches can work with his hearing problem. My 12 yo is in football and it has been a wonderful program and has helped him so much. He only did individual sports and the last few years went into lacrosse, football and hockey.
