My kids are both doing lacrosse this spring. They miss tae kwon do, but our instructor left and we have not found one we liked as much. Ds, turning 13 in a few weeks, is on a selct travel team. Dd plays on JV girls team at school.

So how did they do? Dd lax team made it to playoffs again this year, but got knocked out after a few rounds.

Our dd made starting Varsity at her HS this year as a Freshman - so happy for her! She is the only starting Freshman and plays shortstop. There are 2 other Fresh but one pinch runs and the other has never played. She has played very highly competitive travel softball since she was 10 so I wasn't surprised - but still very excited for her! This is a whole new experience :)
They have had a phenom season this year - current record is 20-1 and we are heading to 5A State next weekend!! GO SAINTS!!!!! Hoping they win it all. This HS has won it several times over the years but it's been a couple years so hoping they continue working and playing hard and bring another State trophy back to Aquinas!!!

That is great Julie!! My dd is V this year, but not as a goalie, as she always played before, but as defender!! Her team is expected to do well, the goalie has been rated #1 in the state!!

Daughter will be trying out for HS softball on Monday. She is hoping to make Varsity as a Freshman. She also plays competitive travel club ball since she was 10 - she will start back up with her travel team after Memorial Day weekend.
I am very excited for her tryouts and for her. She has known the HS coach and some of the older girls since the first time she went to one of their HS summer camps in 6th grade. Her school has an excellent softball program and they are hoping to get back to State once again! :)
