Hello!

Hi All! I'm Jenna, and I stay at home with our 9 month old foster daughter. I just quit my job in February to be home with her, and am loving every minute of it! I agree with all of you that I am way busier now than when I worked full time.
I am very lucky in that I have a few wonderful friends who also stay at home, so we get together when our schedules allow, and I also go to the gym 3 mornings/week just to get out of the house and have some adult interaction (oh, and I guess it's to work out as well!).
The only "what do you DO all day" comment I have received has been from my mother in law, so I've also been lucky there-- my close family and my friends have been very supportive of me being at home.

That is so funny, I follow my husband around too! One advantage with staying at home though is , I get one on time with my daughter. She is two & can count from 1-10& say most of the alphabet. I feel that if I worked outside the home I might be too tired to teach her anything. I'm glad there is a site where there is other moms who know how I feel.

I know what your talking about not having an adult conversation. I feel bad for my husband because when he gets home I follow him around the house just to talk. Oh! and those poor telephone sales people. They have blacked listed me! I keep them on the phone for so long they can't get there sales for the day!  Just Joking! It is sometimes hard to be alone with the children all day, even though they are there it sometimes feels a little lonely.

Hi, My name is Jen . I'm a stay at home mom to my two year old daughter.I like being at home with my little girl, but, its hard to have a conversation with a toddler! All of my friends either work, have no kids or have older kids . I know exactly what you mean Tabatha , your life sounds a lot like mine-very repetitive!

I am also looking for other moms to talk to. I am home 24/7 with my kids and it gets a little repitive. I know that it sounds a little mean but it does. I get up in the morning, Play with the kids, put them down for naps, play with them more and then it's bed then it's bed time. Then the day starts over again the next day.

I agree with you about doing more as a mom than an actual job! Dr. Phil has said that "a stay at home mom does the equilvant of 2 full time jobs" although I enjoying being an at home mom. and feel very blessed that I am able to stay at home with my daughter, I still remind my Husband of this every now and then. ;). It is hard talking to Moms who work! I have heard to many people say to or say about a stay at home mom. "Why aren't you working?" to me the extra income isn't worth missing all the milestones in my daughters life!

Hi!!! My Name is Jill and I am a new member to the Stay-At-Home Moms as well as to facebook. I just recently became a stay at home mom at the end of last year ("08"). I'm really enjoying being a stay at home mommy. I have a 2 year old daughter, she'll be turing 3 in June. My how time flies by. I'm like you Tara, I used to be a bank teller so like you said I think I'm more busy being a stay at home mom than I was when i used to work.  I enjoy every minute of being a stay at home mom even if that means I stay really busy. I truly am blessed and very thankful to my husband that I'm able to be a stay at home mom. ~~Jill
