10 month old still not sleeping through the night

My son will be 10 months on the 22nd and he still will not sleep through the night. He wakes up all night for a bottle. He is so restless, tossing & turning. Yes, he sleeps with me. Not a fan of letting him cry unless he is wired at night & fights his sleep, I will put him in his playpen & give him time to settle down. I also don't like for my kids to sleep in their own rooms. All I can think of are all the horrible things that could happen! Anyways, is there anyway I can help him sleep?

hi kelsey,when i had my 5th child (girl) she was breast fed for the 1st 3 months and was the perfect baby.She never cried only to be fed.
When she hit 3 months i switched to formula and she was great up untill 4 months and that was it,almost like someone had switched my baby with another baby.
She woke up all night every night on and off.
Like your son she wanted bottles or so i thought 3-4 times a night.In reality though she wasnt hungry she had just got used to having them and was just used to waking up.
It made it worse the fact i shared my room as no matter how quite i was going to bed she woke every time.
When she was 10 1/2 months i put her in her own room as i was due a baby 2 weeks later and i knew the baby crying would wake her even more
AND GUESS WHAT? she never woke ever again from that night on and never had a bottle again either.
I think the moving of bedrooms totally made her forget about her bottles/waking up as she didnt assosiate that bedroom with her habits any more
And im pleased to say that we have 7 children now and i certainly would never give an older baby a bottle in the middle of the night ever ever again as there body expects it all the time and they really dont need it if there fed through the day
I wish you all the luck in the world and hope you can rectify it as easily as it was for me.

it will happen in its own time my youngest will be 2 on the 20th and is just now sleeping through the night. I always had my kids sleep with me too. untill about 2 then i try and give them some independance. but it will happen, all kids are different. just pray, it works for me when I ask the lord to help me and Eli get through the night... good luck

PS:try vicks vapor rub soothing with lavender for babys it even helped my 2 year old. it really helps, and help get the baby into a routine, usually after a nice bath and feeding they are sure to be tired!

oh my goodness, i know its hard, but seriously let the baby cry it was so hard to do with my daughter and i felt so bad doing it, that i cried too... but the doctors even told me that they have to learn to put themselves back to sleep. if you have to then give the baby a bottle of water at night, and if that doesnt do the trick try putting the baby in a swing to soothe so that you can get some sleep girlfriend. And maybe try a monitor with a video input on it so that you can see the baby and hear him and you won't be so worried. hope this helps good luck with that little prince!
