13 month old throwing fits, yelling, screaming.

my son is 13 months old. about a month ago he started getting these fits. he will yell and scream out of no where when he doesnt want something or when i take something away from him becuase he wont give it when i ask nicely. When i go out to a restaraunt for example, if he cant get what he trying to get (grab a piece of food properly) he will snap and start yelling and screaming till he turn red. I tried saying no sternly, at his level, im trying time outs...and nothing is working so far... i have no idea what to do!

Sounds like the "terrible 2's". I know he's only 13months, but honestly they start anytime. Just ignor the fits, and talk to him when he's calmed down. Tell him in a simple way that isn't how to act when upset. It will take awhile, but he will understand. If you try to calm him during a fit, it will only continue to get louder and last longer.
