My son never army crawled, but he did crawl backwards first lol. He started crawling forward, on hands & knees, about a week before he turned 8 months.

Bum scooted at just under a year old and didn't crawl until 17 months.
Yeah, the being around other kids is weird when they are behind. I wasn't worried about my daughter, but I felt bad for her just sitting there like a lump while the others all crawled and ran around her. She's totally normal now though.

Let's hope so, makes being around other children a lot more easier.
I think he's getting the hang of it pretty quickly cause he LOVES tummy time, can't seem to get enough of it.

My youngest never army crawled! She pretty much just took off. Your little one sounds right on track. He'll probably be crawling before you know it!

My oldest started army crawling at 9 months, crawling on hands and knees at a year.
My youngest turned 7 months today and started crawling on her hands and knees last week.
